December version latest
http://www.4shared.com/file/-N9jFxiX/Hdpro_20101225.html

Copy install.img to the root directory of a USB flash drive and connect it to the USB host port of the player.
Enter the Setup menu, System, System Update, System Upgrade and Enter to confirm.
Please wait for the flashing to complete until the player restarts by itself.
Do not power off the unit during the flashing process!

*Before flash, please disconnect internal HDD if install.

I'm interested to buy a Media Player with WLAN so that I can access my HD video files from the main computer and stream it directly to play in my TV.

All video files are stored in the computer and I'm not interested for the storage to be in the Media Player.

Can anybody give their opinion about this Media Player?

WLAN not quite recommended for HD video files. Best to have it on wired unless you can live with some lag especially for the high bit rates ones.

Otherwise, the HDPro player is a value buy and can play most popular formats competently. Can handle the MTS files from HD video camera too.

For wired, does HDPro player have that Ethernet function?

HDPro has a LAN (RJ45) FAST Ethernet (10/100mbps) port.

If you want WLAN, you will need to get a separate dongle from Yangxi (or a compatible one) that is plugged into the USB port of the HDPro.

is it white small one?   how can't work?
Yes, the small 1. Just can't connect to my router after key-in SKey, after that if restart can't detect. I will try on my another set to see if the problem still there... hmm.gif

Does HDPro support 5.1 analog speakers?

I'm planning to have a 5.1 setup, is it possible with HDPro? Any recommendationso of speaker setup below RM500?

Hi, I read a couple of pages of this thread. But I'm still confuse, wat else can it do apart from playing video file from a USB. Stream from pc? Surf web?

And if I have a HDTV with Internet, which I can plug in my USB or stream movie from my pc to the tv, do I still need this player?

AVR amp as in AV receiver right? So I will connect the HDPro to the AV Receiver, then connect it to the speakers?

How expensive usually are AV Receivers?
