that's normal la, the shafts of all motors are like that. the shaft is made to move slightly inwards when u apply pressure on it, and then it will bounce out again. that's normal.

haha, actually u can figure that out using other motors.
Even old single-shafted motors are like that.

guys since forum so quiet today.. discussion time.. what are your methods for reducing friction in the gear box area. I drilled out the plastic shaft of the green gear. i drilled all the way until got 1mm left . so only 1mm of plastic contact the bearing shaft.

what are your methods?

err soak in rc spray, later put lil bit of grease i suppose. make sure u have the best 520s u have in the gears and....run in the gears thoroughly. itll be smooth and quiet too this way.

tried to skim off some plastic before to "lighten the gears" but the outcome i think is too minor. cant even figure out whether its faster or not.

i think Ng's gearbox with the 9mm is something he should share with us all brows.gif brows.gif

my mod not really lighten the gear.. i dont think lightening the gears can do much. the gears already very light its negligible. as ng said.. for battery performance. good if using alkaline. the boost can last longer. either way its always good to have as little friction in every part of the car as possible smile.gif

yeah ng. share ur bearing mod .. hehe..
