i have to say i agree with choy.. i think modding gear is too time consuming as u nd to do it vy precisely to maximise de output.. if ur nt a patient guy, dun do it.. u'll end up ruining de gears..

nway, i prefer unmodded gears too but mayb try to station de gears properly to avoid any movements side ways..

just my 1 cent.. cheers..

that part is very true.. lol.. the time i take to do both gears took like half hour...

modded gearbox really can bring some effect, it can improve the speed, smoothness, but you need do a lot not only the gear... the full chassis need to mod...and a lot of fine tune ... really suffer...

but it's not really suit for long race... when it come across some errors... it's so hard to find a way to solve in short time...

unmod gear is easy to use, and it's constant and stable~it's will not have big problem and able to use it in "lasak" way...

sonic, can post to share...

played with tamiya 4wd when i was 12...it was like 15 years ago..wonder whether the ultra dash is still the highest spec of motor available nowadays, dont mention about audley motors..

ehhehee...when i was 12 did spent hundreds ringgit for modding and upgrading my mini's until stolen by a fren of my lil bro..

did anyone ever try making their own motors..done that ..burn the whole thing...got fire and smoke on my own motor..hehehe

Hi andcorps,

Lets started playing again. smile.gif smile.gif
To me, this era of Tamiya mini4wd is more exciting than back to 90s.
Speed is obviously reduced from the new rules & regulations but excitement you get from setting your car to the limit was really cool2.gif thumbup.gif

yup....i agree with madeywa.

nowdays, diy motors are not practiced among racers. we normally service, clean motors to maintain its performance.
