just flashed to 331-1 BIOS
folding for hours at 2.4GHz edi..
so far so good tongue.gif

from what i found @ 331-1 :
- updated and bugs fixed memtest86 from 1.51 to 1.55
- added a new fuction that enable to add 0.03v to vdimm that 3.2 or below [this is good for those that need aliitle bit more voltage to stablize their ram]

Well I got 1Gb of Twinmos Speed Premium with UTT chips. Wouldn't boot on 310 BIOS at default. Have to jump start using my BH6 then replace with the TMSP to get it up and running. Now it seems my TMSP is dead as it won't boot. One of the sticks I tested is not working sad.gif No signs of burn whatsoever though, it just won't boot.
*
eh... we have some same luck here...
1 stick of mine just wont boot sleep.gif"
now running at single channel doh.gif doh.gif

just flash to 510-2 BIOS
testing on it tight now =)

- ram bootable into Windows using slot1 aka yellow slot [havent test on slot 3 due ram wont boot sleep.gif"]
- added new feature - "dram respone time" in ram setting table

Are both your sticks running properly now Evo? These UTT chips really don't seem to be that good after all. There's just so many cases of dead RAM with UTT chips nowadays.

How's the new 510 doing for you?
*
nope... my utt can codsider half dead...
sometime it works... but some time just unconscious
i dono want to RMA it or not... cause it havent dead yet sleep.gif"

// De_Cruelz :

i found this on DFI street :

QUOTE(Angry Games @ DFI-street)
Western Digital parallel-ATA hard drives obey a somewhat different set of jumpering rules.

* If the drive is jumpered to be MASTER, the system will expect to find its slave and will keep looking until it does, or the IDE detection phase of POST times out.

* If the drive is jumpered to be SLAVE, the system will expect to find its master and will keep looking until it does, or the IDE detection phase of POST times out.

A master or slave setting without the counterpart being present usually appears as the system hanging or freezing. On detection timeout, the system usually tries to continue booting, often with the boot drive not being found either. Attempted warm reboots sometimes allow the system to boot, but with some risk of subsequent data corruption.

When the jumper is removed, the drive is set to run in single (stand-alone) mode. CS (cable select mode) generally works the same as single mode in this case.

CS mode often works with other IDE/ATAPI devices but in general, it is better to use CS mode only with another hard drive. With an optical on the cable with it, use master/slave settings.

hope this info helps you

Evo, what exactly did you do to revive your TMSP?  I tried mine again once and managed to boot in with just the problematic stick. After that it wouldn't boot already and I got lazy so decided to put it back in the cover.

Hopefully I can make the RAM work again. I'm already short of so much money and a dead stick now is gonna set me back more sad.gif
*
no idea at all =/
after i plug in... it just boot into BIOS
btw, each time it able to boot, my working ram is on slot1/slot2 and the half faulty ram on the slot3/slot4

go into BIOS, set first boot device to cd-rom
then save and reboot

if you are with the default BIOS 310, use the orange slot2 if you use single ram and slot2 + slot4 for dual channel

p/s : try to edit your post insteat of multipost

// chris251285 :
i think you missunderstand what i said laugh.gif

your first question about boot into cd-rom:
if you want to boot into your cd-rom, you must select cd-rom as your first boot device in BIOS

your 2nd question about ram:
Since you can run dual channel without problem, i think the single channel failure might caused by BIOS.
try to flash your BIOS [310p] and see how it goes.
