hehe...me a new 1 week DFI Ultra-D owner here....biggrin.gif...hiyahiyahiya

would like to ask a few question regarding the using of Arctic Silencer 6 Rev.2 on my 6200 and ultra-d.....

will the edge of the this AS6 will cover on top of ultra-d chipset fan?...if it covers...will it affect the temperature of the chipset as it's blocking the air towards it....

planning to get this AS6 Rev.2 to pair with my 6200...very hot la that gpu heatsink...also got no fan on this stock cooler...

any help more than appreciated..biggrin.gif
*
If you run on slot 1, it will cover 90% of the chipset fan. But it won't affect the temp. Not at all. I'm using ATI Silencer 5.2 =D

I have a few pairs of BT-D43s and DT-D43s here, there are absolutely no problem running at stock.

can i know the timing for both the ram BT-D43 and Dt-D43 ?
*
I use official bios 310 and set everything @ default (load optimised default) except
the first 6 in Genie Bios:

200
enable
3
3
8
3

Try with one stick first on the orange slot furthest away from CPU if you have difficulties booting.

If you can run both rams with that timing, you can go

2.5
3
7
3

Good luck

guys
anyone installed the latest nforce driver 6.53??
after installing the nvidia ethernet driver, it works... can retrieve ip from dhcp server. but after installing the network access manager and firewall, it requires restart.

after restarting the nvidia LAN port doesn't work anymore. doesn't detect ip or anything.. grrr

any ideas? i upgrade to 6.53 coz i keep getting bsod with Nvtcp.sys error. thanks!
*
I face the similiar problem before this, then i reinstall the driver that comes in the original CD before i upgrade it to the latest nforce driver. It works after that.

DFI street recommend TCCD/TCC5 use slot 2 & 4, others use 1 & 3.

huhu..can be categorized as 'sudden death'....hehe...

btw any differences on using other chips beside TCCD on slot 2,4?....performance wise using DC on slot 1,3 for other chips?
*
Those ram that requires high voltage put in slot 1 & 3. =D

I put my old Hynix in slot 2 & 4 previously.

thanks for the headsup smile.gif i tried installing the firewall manager for fun but looks like it'll be gotten rid of soon.
smile.gif i installed mine with the pipes facing the ram slots.. had the thought of getting my rams cooled by the overhanging part of the xp120 but looks like its more of a nuisance now.

going to try flash a newer bios now. between 510 and 704, have u guys tried them?
*
Tried almost all from 125 to 704. 510 and 618 seems to work the best for my TCCDs and TCC5s.

i really dunno.. cause i'm reporting the temps given by smart guardian (the program found in the software CD given with the mobo).. without aircon, the idle is 28-29C. then i tried prime95, and then folding@home, the temps on full load (100% cpu usage  in task manager) is around 33-34C with xp120. i'm thinking there may be something wrong, but if not, then i'm really happy with the temps. i tried touching the heatpipes when on load, but they feel really cool to touch.

this one with side panel closed.. sweat.gif

Normally on load, the heatpipes will be noticably hot when touched. You stay on top of a hill? laugh.gif

nice. my mobo revision is A03, has anyone tried modding this revision yet?

kelvin_hata : going to do some testing tonight and will let you know the temps

You have to look at your chipset to tell. Newer revision chipset is different.

"nVidia has acted to prevent, or at least make it more difficult, to mod the Ultra board to SLI. First, DFI has advised us, and posted on their website, that they will NOT sell the SLI bridge to buyers of the Ultra board. Second, nVidia has advised us that future shipments of the Ultra chipset have been modified so that the mod to SLI will no longer be possible. An additional side effect of this second action is that the "Dual Video" mode, which performs at about 90% of SLI performance levels, will only work with nVidia SLI drivers 66.75 or earlier. If you do a quick check of web driver postings you will see it is now very difficult to find 66.75 drivers. With a chipset modded to SLI the "Dual Video" mode worked through 70.xx versions of the nVidia driver. nVidia also made it clear they will continue to make driver changes to prevent functioning of any "non-standard" (8X/8X) operation of their SLI driver. This also throws into question whether the VIA "dual graphics" mode on the 894 Pro chipset will ever work with nVidia graphics cards. If you are interested in the current UT Ultra-D we suggest you buy one now if you can find it. Future versions of the UT Ultra-D will not have the same capabilities as a result of these actions." 623-3.. i've read conflicting things about the -3 (or -2/-1 extensions for that matter)

i need one for the UTT rams. but there was this thread in dfi-street http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16479 making me all confused now.

[edit] this is pretty funny.. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16674
*
-3 for all rams. -2 for UTT and -1 for TCC5/TCCD

I have pretty good results using -2 for my TCCD so i guess that -3/-2/-1 is just a rough guide. laugh.gif

It has to be Genie Bios configuration. I'm not so fimiliar with UTT configuration since I sold my last UTT 3 months ago, maybe Baby or Evo can help.

New official 623.3 BIOS available over at DFI

Note this is NOT a beta.

Have flashed my mobo, stable. Can't comment on overclockability as I have yet to overclock the WorkRig. Been to busy actually working... for once....

623-1 works well for me. Better than 510-1 and of course 310.
