i got heard that HT speed should equal or less than the cpu NB speed in order to stay stable..

i was wrong about the stock vnb can do 2.6ghz in c2.it can do around ~~ 2.4ghz only. i forgotten because been few months away from my PC,means few months left rusted without OC...using crap PC now..but in c3, small increase can do as far as 2.8ghz (iinm..like unker ah_khoo posted earlier)

it can only increase 8HTT...but 1month of patience, i able to increase it up to 30HTT..
every 3days increase 2-3HTT

eh, i also got a nvidia geforce6100-nforce405 chipset motherboard before.
no wonder i cannot overclock my athlon x2 5600+ beyond 209MHz base clock la.
that means if i do like your method, then can i also achieve 230MHz base clock lo?

i might work..but it takes hell out of me to make it bootable..
once it boot, so i stay with that HTT..for few days..
btw this still in progress.. i wish for more actually.. 2.4ghz still not enough..2.6ghz at least

dont think so in daily usage cuz only use for words/intenets and movie...
i just felt slow with this chip seldom when some heavy task..

for all misconceptions surrounding HT:

why u should clock HT higher
-only if u are using integrated GPU, high throughput did has an impact on ur graphics performance.

why u shouldnt clock it higher.
-non integrated gpu users.
-to achieve higher overclock especially for unlock cores. in fact, lowering HT might increase ocability.
