2.6ghz for HT and NB yield me BSOD just now.

Ht for 2.6ghz? no need for it.. better stick with 2.0ghz only

i thought there's no point of OCing HT?

from the chart i see that seems the case.still havent got time to properly bench la.

i got heard that HT speed should equal or less than the cpu NB speed in order to stay stable..

i was wrong about the stock vnb can do 2.6ghz in c2.it can do around ~~ 2.4ghz only. i forgotten because been few months away from my PC,means few months left rusted without OC...using crap PC now..but in c3, small increase can do as far as 2.8ghz (iinm..like unker ah_khoo posted earlier)

it can only increase 8HTT...but 1month of patience, i able to increase it up to 30HTT..
every 3days increase 2-3HTT

crap mobo bro... too slow. 2.1ghz is totally not enough for me..kekeke.. 100htt? dayum..

u can see the purpose i put my mobo cpuz tab there..that is nvidia 61chipset..crap mobo that not meant for OC...

eh, i also got a nvidia geforce6100-nforce405 chipset motherboard before.
no wonder i cannot overclock my athlon x2 5600+ beyond 209MHz base clock la.
that means if i do like your method, then can i also achieve 230MHz base clock lo?

i might work..but it takes hell out of me to make it bootable..
once it boot, so i stay with that HTT..for few days..

have hard time if want OC and also need to do assignment in the same time.. kekeke..
prime + do assignment > BSOD + assignment lost unsaved..

will upgrade to thuban later..but not now...

prime time and assignment time dont mix lor

while prime the pc might be laggy and forbids him from using his pc to do asg lo...

wah, that is sad case, bsod and assignment all lost..

the upgrade is a big jump, you can significantly feel the different..

believe me he's holding back.

thats why he sold those d9kpv the other day.

dont think so in daily usage cuz only use for words/intenets and movie...
i just felt slow with this chip seldom when some heavy task..

and also my beloved 550BE..

im also thinking of retiring if dont have enough capital for thuban..kekeke

haha, ya also, unless you do multi tasking, running many program at the same time..

for all misconceptions surrounding HT:

why u should clock HT higher
-only if u are using integrated GPU, high throughput did has an impact on ur graphics performance.

why u shouldnt clock it higher.
-non integrated gpu users.
-to achieve higher overclock especially for unlock cores. in fact, lowering HT might increase ocability.
