QUOTE(bcmengs @ Oct 21 2010, 07:21 PM) QUOTE(feiraron @ Oct 22 2010, 12:40 AM) for those who want to root and flash custom rom Why both guides are different when creating gold card?click here i find that it is the most comprehensively compiled all in one guide Added on October 22, 2010, 12:44 amp/s: looking forward for juicy rom Overclock to 768mhz for those who are wondering about the live wallpaper thing, it is sluggish even on 2.2, so it make sense dont know much for overclock performance though One need to reverse and the other no need? Added on October 23, 2010, 8:44 pmFail to downgrade... maybe my goldcard fail? It cant detect the phone at all in charge mode, even after modding the inf. Done... have to use the right version which is ASIA WWE only can flash...
Stucked at step2... I think most probably is because of step1 error 42... Added on October 24, 2010, 3:08 amGiving up for tonight. Tomorrow will search for more info on how to fix error 42. For now just stick to 1.31 first. Maybe will go download 2.03 which do not have sms bug. This post has been edited by andrekua: Oct 24 2010, 03:08 AM |

Finally done with the rooting... it was a tiring somewhat...
They should really suggest you to prepare a few sdcard for it. At least 2 copies of gold card when one fail and one clean memory card for the rooting process. |

If you fail step2, most likely the gold card dont work...
In order to see the error in step1, better use 'command' and then run the bat file from there. I also had this 42 custom id which lead to device not found in step2. Boot up your phone, recreate gold card, and try step1 again. If you are successful, step1 is actually a very long process with a lot of unzipping... for step2, better find another sdcard and clean format it. I had problem in Step2 when I used my stock cards with previous android inside. If you had mount problem in Step2, then format the sdcard and try again... |

QUOTE(byfc2010 @ Oct 24 2010, 01:29 PM) is it that if i change another microSD card then my phone can read my card? The problem in step1 is caused by the gold card error. That's why advised you to recreate the gold card.last night i tried to insert an old 512MB microSD card and my phone return the same error "Removed SD card"... can anyone help me here? So do u know which will cause step 1 to have the error? how not to get the error? |

You can use back the card to recreate the gold card. I create the first time also fail. The second time works for downgrading but fail step1. The third time only pass step 1. Spent quite a lot of time tinkering with it.
I'm quite disappointed with it. Keyboard is a bit lag, some rendering error with lyn etc. Some places are faster while some places seem slower. |

Just install RC1, and its blazing fast by default... which means no need enable comp cache and adjust vm heap to 32mb cos already preset...
Really nice as Facebook, Twitter, Maps + Navigation, etc are preinstalled... Just RC1 + Gapps 20101020 |

Woah... Overclock my legend to 768MHz and its much better. However, when playing Angry Birds, the phone can get quite hot.
Got stucked in a boot loop if I use 805MHz kernel... I guess thats it for me. |

QUOTE(riziger @ Oct 27 2010, 08:37 PM) Using ADW launcher now. Not bad. If you are using CM nightlies, then you can try having the toggle widget in status bar.I realised the phone seems to hang quite a bit now. I turn it off everday just to ensure it runs smooth. Mobile internet another probem. With sense, thers the widget to toggle it. Now only can use quick settings to toggle, sometimes can sometimes cannot, very weird. Settings>CM Settings>User Interface>Widget buttons... There you can select any widgets that would then appear when you slide down the status bar which is more neat than having bunch of widgets on the homescreen... |

B44 also not bad. It seem like battery life improved a lot since B41.
