as i understand, you have to pay advance RM300 (will deduct from your bills in the coming month) and you only have to subscribe to the data plan which is RM68 (with tethering), for voice you have to choose yourself or pay as u use.

------------

I agree that mobile signal and wifi signals are slightly weaker than similar phones but its still a pretty good smartphone...

I was wondering if any of you have an issue where ur unable to connect to 3g after charging your phone?....i have that problem and will have to either reboot my phone or switch airplane mode on and off to get the 3g funtionality back...in on maxis (3g)

cheers

happened only once, I suspect it's maxis problem, as usual.

but Paul said this version is supported. Maybe just the step wrong. Just read from china web site, and quite agree with the author
If you just want to "chase the trend" and root ur device, it is really Unnecessary and put ur device in risk.(if you are noob to root)

for App2SD, if you r not maniac/crazy installer, I think 180+ mb memory is sufficient, as nowadays most applications are smart enough, only the core
files are store in internal memory, which is less then few mb. So why want to root ur device.
The only possible reason to root , mostly is because of the visualization of ur device.
Eg. u want to remove those default HTC apps, u want a animated wallpapaer.

So......... if not familiar with how to root, better just wait official update for ur device, secure.

P/S: heard that newer version of android support App2SD. Hope its not just rumor
*
u got that right. rooting may brick your phone (for noobs like me) so no, not going to root it. Not until I know that I really want (like paid apps and additional space to install more stuff or LWallpaper)

tried it, awesome browser BUT the pinch zoom works in steps, so it's not so smooth. Good part is that it's cloud computing smile.gif

You can try cliptec,

http://www.cliptec.com/asia/charger.html

cheap and not bad

I bought with RM29.9.

Actual charger not that much expensive.
Nokia ori charger just cost RM40.

so no need to costly.
and normally battery lifespan just 2-3 years.
*
naise smile.gif can let me know where did u get this also? Need to charge on the go.

BTW I've been visiting a few shops in MV and they DON'T have any accesories for the Legend. It saddens me since it have been on sale for about a month already. sad.gif sad.gif

the two circles are proximity and ambient light sensors. It's included in the specs, just not shown where it is on the phone.

New user here...

Love the screen.

Love the sleek design.

Love it!!

Only problem is that it's horrible battery life. haha. Will not get me through one day. And I am not a very heavy user in terms of gaming or anything like that. Just the occassional emails, sms, calls and social networking. And when I say occassional sms/calls, I mean 2 to 3 calls/sms per day.

*sigh*

Anywhere to get second backup battery?
*
battery life will be better overtime. just change the frequency of sync to longer periods, turn off 3g/wifi when not in use.

I think if Google wants Android to excel in this industry they will need a way to allow apps2sd available. This is the first step to allow developers to create apps that are more appealing to the mass market (mostly candy eye stuff).

I think they planned to have it from the start cuz if you look at most android phones (even the higher end ones), they come with relatively small internal memory but at the same time, they offer apps on the market.

I believe what they are trying to do with the 'official' apps2sd is a system that can prevent piracy. I don't think it matters what they do though, since the android community have some really good hackers.

EDIT: I'll put a link up on the 1st page for the official ROM and the Rodriguez style ROM.

at the moment is not up yet as it is only currently "rumoured" to have in the froyo update. the strangest thing is that the developers at the current google i/o have been given a droid running on android 2.0.1
