yes warranty you'll register with SIS so it will cover 2 years
and you need to scan your receipt first for online registration

frankly i dont know where people get the EOL stuff,
probably they just skim read Bell network in Canada not offering Legend anymore becoz of the amoled shortage and quickly make assumption its dead then post what they thought on forum then other people get confused.. It is how internet work i guess

soryy if unrelated to the thread

HTC Desire Z...
finally a worthy replacement for the legend?...
Desire HD far too big for my taste and not as beautiful, kinda like desire vs legend to me

3.7 inch screen but same resolution as the HD
froyo out of the box
beautiful slide out qwerty
just 800mhz though but who cares if its smooth enough like in the video
oh yeah that brushed aluminium backplate is sexy but thats just me, i have a thing with brushed aluminium

coming out in october, seriously think of switching start of next year

*bonus video if you think 800mhz is not enough, though i doubt its just because of the processor alone

Angry birds lagged? Ase you sure you are playing the latest full version? Coz the beta lagged + wrong rrsolution, full versionfrom getjar solve all that, plus im on azure rom so that might help things a bit

Really? I downloaded the apk and tried to install from my computer to the legend, but it says it failed. Due to insufficient space. Is it playable even though lag?
*
you don't have enough space on your phone..
Its a bane for legend owners.. Unless you use custom rom and get apps to sd, or wait for official froyo, it should come out soon because the black legend comes with froyo, as soon as they release that my bet they would release froyo update as well

the black legend comes with froyo as well,
one would wonder why they wouldnt want to release it if development had already finish..
but mehh nothing special if they dont include the new sense.. custom rom users already have froyo

for those who want to root and flash custom rom

i find that it is the most comprehensively compiled all in one guide

Added on October 22, 2010, 12:44 amp/s: looking forward for juicy rom Overclock to 768mhz

for those who are wondering about the live wallpaper thing, it is sluggish even on 2.2,
so it make sense rolleyes.gif that HTC remove it

dont know much for overclock performance though

Try flashing azure back, nightly roms are unstable and is more for experiments and development
Wipe before flash

duno what's wrong...
Gosh...
able to downgrade to 1.31 with the goldcard created before my phone couldn't detect my microSD card...
but couldn't unbrick my usb and couldn't proceed to step 2 of rooting...
Haiz....

Added on October 24, 2010, 6:08 pmBelow are what I did before I kept getting the error "Removed SD card"...
Eclair 2.1 with update 1.
1. Create goldcard. Success.
2. Then i went on with the rooting guide, without applying RUU.1.31.
3. Failed in step1-windows.bat, step2-windows.bat. Thus kept creating goldcard.(obviously i am so newbie)
4. Then after sometimes of retrying I get the error after a reboot.

After i got the error, I created a goldcard based on the previous CID i got.
The goldcard enables me to downgrade to RUU.1.31.
But still the error is still there.
Tried the unbrick guide.
But even after I execute "fastboot oem enableqxdm 0",
then follow the guide with "fastboot oem boot", my USB still didn't work.
Ignoring the fact that the guide needs SD capability I did all the steps in the guide(i use softroot, since i never rooted my legend yet!),
all commands went through without error, even retried.
Till now my phone stilll shows the error, "Removed SD card".
Can anyone help me? Paul? anyone?

Card i used: 1. Sandisk 2GB card that comes with the phone(my goldcard), 512MB old microSD card.
Guides used: http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-lege...ow-with-1-31-x/
http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-lege...d-b0rked-fixed/

Both cards are working well, can be detected in windows and no error when checked with h2testw in windows.
Windows can detect Legend when connected. Drivers all good.

So guys, is this really USB bricked or what it is?

If u guys need any information bout the phone please let me know, i'll try to provide.
*
errr... did you use the goldcard for flashing root rom step 2?
you need to use a different card for step 2 or format that goldcard, gold card is only used for step one of rooting (note: not downgrading, rooting)

Im on superfroyo rom for a couple of days already now
Its much more stylish but just slightly faster than azure
I didn't OC btw..

a couple of things are in spanish, but not really a big problem
just follow the instructions, partition the sd card and turn on linux swap and apptosd in supsetup

doh.gif dude that is for android 2.1
azure is 2.2

@konholio

search "barnacle" in android market
as long as you using 2.2 it will work, make sure you check skip wpa_supplicant in settings

i would switch back,

the only thing i dont like is the launcher, it is really slow
other sense app is pretty fine,
however, i might wait until someone manage to root it (or create a custom rom base on the legend sense 2.2)
cant live without the theming side of things..
