Receiving an MMS will also connects 3G automatically eventhough data connection is disabled.
Happened once to me when there was a stubborn MMS which I failed to download and causes the 3G to connect when phone retries receiving the same mms

This is a bug with Legend. It will lower ur ringer volume eventhough Quite Ring On Pickup is off.
I've rooted and tried all available ROMs and even the FOTA update but this problem still persist.
Sometimes it even lower the volume on the first ring and I didn't even touch the phone.

Desire does not have this problem.

Are you using Digi? I tested with Maxis and somehow the ringer issue does not appear.

I've sold my Legend mainly due to the unfixable ringer problem!

I rooted mine with CyanogenMod about 2 months back. Back then it was still buggy. JIT still not working.
Most games could not be displayed properly with JIT on.
Anyway still it can be used daily.

So, is it a more matured ROM now?
