juz got my new legend from pcfair. the amoled screen is fantastic!!!
i note that the screen has already got a protector film?
does ur legend comes with the protector when u purchased it???

Smooth as silk...never lag at all! 3D games also smooth! Most importantly, the phone is juz so handsome!
VGA video is also smooth! I love my Legend ever more.

1 problem though, I cant seem to find a good GPS software for android

Is it me only or others also have the Legend without the blue (BT) light & GPS light??? the only light is the charging indicator? Really not used to Legend not having the BT blue indicator

but before rooting i m really worried about breaking SIS warranty.
so, is Nandroid backup able to completely restore our legend to original (without SIS knowing it).

I have already emailed SIS Malaysia regarding the non-working 'Quiet ring on pickup' feature.
SIS Malaysia apparently has recorded a few complaints and compiling a report to HTC.

XDA workaround by setting WCDMA only also did not work on my Legend.
Rooted and flashed my Legend with 1.31.405.4 based ROMS also did not solve the problem.

I read that whether you turn off 'Quiet ring on pickup' or not, these features are still active:
1) Flipping your Legend over when you received a call turns off the ring completely
2) Move your phone will muffle the ringtone.

Sometimes when I was walking, the ring already being muffled before I manage to pickup.

I do not know whether it only affects Legend or other Android 2.1 based models too.
Haiiiizz, there goes my crisp and clear MP3 ringtone!!!

Added on May 23, 2010, 1:05 amExactly what happened to me. Call Digi and make sure you call them again if your 3G wasnt activated after waiting 30minutes.
I waited for 1 whole day for a broken promise that my 3G will be activated in few hours time.
With another call to Digi, my 3G was activated in minutes.

My Legend is from PDAExpert (recent PCFair) and surprisingly it already has a screen protector. very nicely fit on my Legend and oil (from face) can be removed even by using my finger or thumb.
So, maybe u can ask from PDAExpert. ofcoz get their promise to xchange b4 u buy from them.

those who worried bout battery life, I can only tell you that i've never bothered by it at all.
initially though (first one or two days), the battery life is really short.

I've been trying to download this update which is just 6.2MB from Rapidshare but everytime timed out!
WHAT IS HAPPENING TO STREAMYX???? rapidshare, megashare, cnn.com, fb games are so slow!!!

from the phone update screen, the update says it was for Email related issue.

My Legend battery life is consider very good!
1 whole day use, plus few calls, plus some games especially Robo Defense, it will drop about 30%
Even my Wifi is always set to On. Couple of memory resident programs like ChangeVolume, ReminderService.

So, I have never complaint about battery life.

i m always using USB to charge and it takes maybe 4 hours to fully charge
i din really time the charging. i normally take off the cable before i go to sleep.
before sleep i cant help it but play a few rounds of Robo Defense

as i write now, my battery level is at 60% (Wifi 26%, Cell Standby 21%, Display 24%, Phone idle 16%, Voice calls 13%
i fully charged & disconnect the usb 2nites back at around 11pm
so, i've never ever worried bout battery life

i do, however, disable my data connection all times.

mine does ring...so far never encountered any problem with alarm doesn ring
i tested by setting alarm at 1:30pm (to ring at 2pm), off/on phone and it did ring at 2pm

Legend has this ring tone muffle problem and there is no 'cure' at the moment, not even latest ROMs like Froyo or 2.03 based ROMs will kill this bug. You have to live with it or use the WCDMA only workaround which is unfeasable!

Added on July 12, 2010, 10:47 pmYa, i m pretty 'free' when using Legend. Not like my previous WM6 based HTC phones.
Flashing ROMs was my hobby then...hahah.

The only Froyo based ROM is usable but i notice a lag and also some games can't display properly.
Live wallpapers are cool but battery life will suffer.

I m back to 2.03 based ROMs which at least solve the MP4 video out-of-sync issue.

Is SIS Malaysia the sole distributor of HTC Legend?
Are they any other companies authorise to distribute HTC products?

My fren juz noticed that his Legend has only 1 year warranty and without SIS stickers.

Yup, i got it too.
I am going to update and see whether there are SMS or loss of Wifi bugs (as reported in Europe)

For me, overall no significant change. Most puzzling, the ringer bug is still there!
However no SMS bug or beeping sound when shutting down.

Previously i said that there wasn't any SMS bug after patch. I was wrong. The bug is in the SMS conversation thread where the latest sms will be at the bottom. It's very annoying!!!

Ringer bug still there eventhough I didn't touch the phone it will muffle!!!

I guess you have to repair the button.

Mine is at the left side of the power button...starting to sink in
I wonder how long can the Home, Menu, Back buttons can last also
4 months of usage, it's starting to lose the 'reflex' already

Although got 2 yrs warranty, it is still 'leceh' to go HTC to fix it

I think Legend has the poorest buttons design.
Home/Menu/Back/Search buttons do not slightly protrude. Thus, you have to press hard to make it 'click' and work.
By doing so, how can the buttons last long??? Somemore, Home/Menu sharing same button

My at least 5-year old HTC3300 buttons still function as normal!
