Can we change email that we register for this game? Because I think during beta i use TokMudim(other email) as soldier name but now using new email for the full game. How to recover back this soldier name?

hmm.. the patch keeps on downloading again and again. it happen everytime i restart the game.

anyway to locate the standalone patch?

do the manual auto patch method..go to ur EA folder find the BC2updater-MCE

After the latest update,the campaign is unplayable.
After when it seems to load finish,it crashes and send me back to windows.
wat is the problem?

Is vip slot functioning? Im still not able to go into full server?

HAvent try campaign after update, so not sure yet. Try lower your settings.

i think the patcher error was yesterdays problem. I read that ea servers are overcrowded so the patch server had problems.

the patch did fix alot of server browser and connection issues.

but i still cant get a good ping <100.. even in MBT central.

so far i had 1 ingame freeze in mp for like 2 hrs straight. its bc2 error.

u tried load the saved games or new one?
try to load the latest one n see if it will crash or not.

after updating the server browsers are alright now. getting low pings at local servers but when i tried to search for fragnetics nuthing comes up

Search are still very quite case sensitive.

Added on March 18, 2010, 5:21 pmDue to the updated patch, it sort of screwed up the save file.
Since is only checkpoints, so there basically only 1 save file, and it is screwed, so what do we do?
Ok, just go to mission select the mission you are on and restart the level.
Then the checkpoint save file will be replaced.
Then u can use the "resume campaign" again on this new checkpoint.

hey guys,

was wonderin what solutions can i do in order to change the FOV?

i dont seem to have the FOV option in the settings.ini

i've tried deleting the whole BFBC2 folder in My Doc, and reload the game, but it the FOV does not appear in the settings.ini file.

any idea how to get em? i tried keying in manual but it doesnt show any difference in FOV

FOV option came with first day patch. If you have a legit copy, just run the updater. It will be there.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC Server Files Updated

"We have just distributed a new server version named R7 to the server hosts. Early signs from the hosts are good with 20% less load on the server CPU, improved hit detection, Veteran rank handling is fixed so you should get your M1 Garand back now plus some other fixes to better help the server hosting companies and better management of Punkbuster IDs."
All dedicated servers are currently patching to the new server build just released by DICE, R7, which has quite a few fixes:
Several common crash fixes. Especially those which have monitoring scripts that rely on the Remote Admin interface should see stability improvements.
PunkBuster can send commands to Remote Admin interface (so ‘pb_sv_task 0 -1 ’ works)
Veteran-rank handling corrected (it was broken in R6 and possibly earlier)
Switched back to Release version of the low-level networking library; less debug output but higher performance
Increased the initial server reconnection interval to 30+rand(30) seconds
PB GUID generation is now based on EA account IDs (it used to be based on persona names)
Added new command line options which allow providers to easily maintain server GUID's

ok, i have a noob questions:

while playing a hard battle suddenly BC2 crash to desktop.
is there any chance i'll lose all my stats for that session?

another one,
the server browser really problemo.
why i cant see the server history i've played?
adding server to favorites also very-very long time to take.
how to solve or is there any tricks?

stats only update during end of rounds, so, yes u lost all of it.
No trick to speed up the process, unless EA add more server + Malaysia broadband is like US or Korean.

Anyone facing this problem? playing for 30 minutes and it just freeze and the sound bzzzz like non stop. cant ctrl+alt+del or anything.

Care to discuss this guys? i've google it and it says it could be the on board sound card. but i have an external mini control + RCA. so.. im going to give it a try without it. Update with you peps later

Might also want to check your GPU or CPU for overheating issues.

only thing i face is the crash to desktop, that also only after the round when about to show the stats.
