The most significant reason of me getting my Logitech G700 as my wireless mouse is that I'm kinda dislike the wire to mess around my desk. LOL!

The Pyra does not have a hybrid mode. It's 100% wired or wireless only.
If you plug the Pyra Wireless to its USB charger, it does not enter sleep mode after a while and gets pretty warm due to the charging batteries. But you still need the receiver to use the mouse regardless. |

QUOTE(AlexLai @ Oct 14 2010, 05:36 PM) The Pyra does not have a hybrid mode. It's 100% wired or wireless only. Agree. I have tried that before. Pyra needs its wireless receiver in order to work. As for Logitech G700, you can use it as a normal wired gaming mouse without the wireless receiver. If you plug the Pyra Wireless to its USB charger, it does not enter sleep mode after a while and gets pretty warm due to the charging batteries. But you still need the receiver to use the mouse regardless. This post has been edited by Jeffrey1987: Oct 14 2010, 05:42 PM |

As for Philips Twin Eye, The problems is Z-Axis where you lift the mouse place the mouse back on surface, the mouse cursor is gonna move in a certain distance. Each of this brings it's own problem towards FPS genre game. This post has been edited by Cyclonechuah: Oct 14 2010, 08:48 PM |

take a n example of Philips Twin-Eye sensor that used to be quite problematic.
and look at how Razer patched up their firmware to make it problem-free. but CM Storm Sentinel phailed even though it's the same sensor. I doubt Roccat will fix this issue. take a look at the scroll button issues on Kone V1. When Kone V2 was released, the didn't even fix that. Like I said, the manufacturer do play a important role. Added on October 15, 2010, 8:21 amcan anyone translate this? ![]() Added on October 15, 2010, 8:22 ambtw, you can find all the reviews about Kone[+] here. http://www.glopipe.com/kone-reviews/ but most of them are bias, cause that's a Roccat shop blog. Other than Kone + having higher DPI compared to the original Kone.
Are there any other differences? This is because I am quite interested in getting Kone. |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Oct 15 2010, 10:48 AM) Other than Kone + having higher DPI compared to the original Kone. Found a brief introduction of the ROCCAT Kone[+] which summarizes most of the main points:Are there any other differences? This is because I am quite interested in getting Kone. QUOTE So what have Roccat done to improve the Kone? The first thing is to stick a new sensor inside the shell that boasts (a slightly absurd) 6,000dpi. It can handle up to to 30G acceleration and process at speeds of up to 5m/s and 200ips. The refresh rate remains the same at 1000Hz. The EasyShift button is carried over from the Pyra mouse, which doubles up the functions available from each button. Acting like the Shift key on a keyboard this button means that you can now assign 22 functions to the remaining eleven buttons. Another cool feature they’ve added is a new voice feedback system. Whenever you change the dpi setting or the active memory profile you will hear a voice telling you what you’ve just selected. No need to look at the mouse or an indicator on the screen to double-check that you’ve got the right setting, you’ll just hear someone telling you. Simple but effective. The weight system has changed slightly. On the original Kone you had four different weights (from 5g to 20g), one of which could be fitted into the base of the mouse. Now there are four 5g weights and you can choose how many of those to fit into the mouse. While this doesn’t make any practical difference to the weight of the mouse, it does at least mean that the hole for the weights has got a proper cover. Cosmetically there are subtle differences. The colouring is largely the same, but the glowing Thundercats Roccat logo is replaced with a grey image painted over tha back of the shell. There are also more obvious Roccat logos on the sides. The buttons are given a bit of a makeover and look a little chunkier now, and hopefully that means that there won’t be a repeat of the failing mouse wheel issue. Source: gamingweapons.com Well, just minus the tracking sensor part. |
