for a decent gamer ,( not too expensive , not so high specs doh.gif)

is Roccat Kova good enough ? or should i get a Razer mamba / SS Ikari

p/s : currently using HP Laser mosue lol

Mamba RM400+ laugh.gif
get Ikari Optical. Edifier clearing stocks, RM129 only.

you might one to consider this few options:
Imperator, Lachesis, Kinzu, DeathAdder, Ikari Optical, Kova, Mx518. All below RM240.

prefer ambidextrous or right-handed mouse?
claw or palm grip?

Kova is an ambidextrous mouse compared to the Ikari which is right handed ergonomic. The Kova also has some bling bling.

How's the battery life for it?
*
first try out of the box i manage to get roughly 8 hours of use. lemme try for a few more charge to get an average duration... hmm.gif
found out that if i left it for a few minutes idle, it will shut down into standby mode... needs clicking or lots of motion before it turned back on.
was hoping it wouldnt go into standby. imagine waiting for a game to load when suddenly the mouse died and i lost initial moves just to get it back on. huhuhu rclxub.gif

Mamba will be an overkill. The Kova or DeathAdder should be just nice, not too expensive yet offers good performance. biggrin.gif

i kinda dislike Razer's mouse .. dont know y :S maybe its too common...

just need to confirm these two ; kova and ikari optical now.. haha..

kova 3200 dpi and ikari optical 1600 dpi .

how bout the buttons ? left n right click ? which one last longer ? my mouse all spoil very fast (within 2 or 3months) , the left click always auto double click .

now favoring roccat kova since ikari has mega sales , so now need to compare more before finalising my choice lol

Apparently, from most user feedback I've seen, they seem to complain on SteelSeries Ikari Optical's build quality though. sweat.gif

most the issue are from quality issue, especially cable and other parts.

always have to tell the cable company to rework or replace etc2...

but it is very cool you know to develop this mouse to follow all the required specification need by customer...

btw my ex company also made the apple mouse *only the latest apple mouse we failed to get the contract thou....

It's all to your own preference. You can go to Moderno in Subang Jaya SS15 to try both mice out.

Apparently it's just interpolated so the sensor isn't actually performing at 6000dpi, rather it's the driver pushing the dpi up.
