Highly possible it's region-locked.

Anyway, initially retailers were told by the studio that they were not allowed to have "exclusive" versions of the movie (including steelbooks), which fueled speculation at the time that the studio may be releasing the 3D version which may have included 3D specs, hence requiring special packing. Now that the studio has put out that they're not planning to release a 3D version of Avatar at least until the technology matures, perhaps it's possible that the studio is giving retailers some leeway to releasing steelbook versions of Avatar. So far, only UK and Denmark versions have surfaced. So it's not inconceivable that eventually we may see a US-version steelbook as well. Well, I'm hoping so anyway.

Just wondering, why is Amazon.co.uk selling their BD's more expensive than US?

example:

District 9 Bluray (Amazon.com) : $19.99 which is RM 67.47

District 9 BLuray (Amazon.co.uk) : £13.93 which is RM 70.66

not much different, but still...

that doesnt include shipping..

It goes same as well as for the bollywood bluray's too. UK shipping is cheaper and reliable , faster. ETA 5 working days only.

With strong references , the bluray movies for bollywood arrives without a problem..except the one this morning posted , from India, very ungraceful handling..

Its because Bollywood & Indian movies in blu-ray are doing well in International market. I have a high hope that it may do well over in MYS.

So i'm spreading the word and the fun around.

Its only by demand though.. whistling.gif

The 3D effect was ok but the colours seems very washed out(not much colours/saturated/bland). is that how it was supposed to look?

Havent really seen the whole movie just try the 3D only.  blush.gif

Its only through the traditional red/green glasses, so current 3D crops always have this red/green tint, which is quite dull actually, but then, its almost 50 years technology. The one Avatar employs is the different polarised ones, better results.

Speaking of which, Samsung will launch their 3D TVs in Malaysia next month, apparently it can convert videos into 3D, lets see what that'll do smile.gif

Some classic movies PQ / AQ not that impressive but people are actually love the story itself. If you are looking 4/5 - 5/5 star movies i would recommend,

1. New York - PQ/AQ - 4/5
2. Wanted - PQ/AQ - 4.5/5
3. Om Shanti Om - PQ/AQ - 4.5/5
4. Ghajini - PQ/AQ - 4/5
5. Lage Raho Munna Bhai PQ 4.5 AQ 3.5
6. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi - PQ: Great transfer , AQ: The DTS sound track has enough oomph to shake the room.

New titles like 3 Idiots , My Name Is Khan , Lagaan , should they come out by April, great buy..
