For now you try this method i elaborate below.
1) Download the ipsw file for firmware 3.1.3
2) put your phone in DFU mode.
3) Shift restore and select the ipsw file
4) Will then auto restore
5) Sit still and see result

If there is any error encounter after step 3) then you have no luck. You have to upgrade to 4.0 or 4.01 after that.

Btw, did you save shsh via cydia before?

b4 reset ur iphone

open cydia, save ur shsh by clicking the "make your life easier" option

after that follow what yezhacolic said, in addition download the recboot

theres a newer software instead of recboot, cant remember what the name is, but it solve the win7 64-bit libusb problem

google it, it solve the libusb problem in win7 64-bit version

im using iphone 3g but its ios4..version 4.0..

but seems like i cant change my home screen wallpaper? issit all the 3g cannot change?

hello
another question

all of sudden, since this morning my iphone, when almost flat battery rite, wont show 20% or 10% like usual. instead it shows some random numbers like 87653246%

Have you try to off and on back the battery % via settings or reboot?

im sorry, im a very new user...ive tried to restart it. so i thought there's no prob. but just now when the battery is almost flat, it comes out like that again.

can u teach me how to set it back via settings n reboot?tq in advance

Just go to Settings > General > Usage – and toggle the Battery Percentage setting to OFF.
Then restart your phone. After restarting then follow the steps again to On it back.

is this the place where i can ask about iphone wifi problem?
i cant seem to be able to find the wifi thread anymore.
anyway pls direct me to right one if i'm at the wrong place.
i havent been able to connect to home's wifi since half a yr ago.
cant really remember wat the problem was, but i guess i updated to iOS3.1.
when i connected to it, under the DHCP:

IP address: 169.254.70.255
Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

wat do i need to change in my router?

just wanna ask u guys, is australian 3g iphone an unlocked set?

My friend wanna help me get a used iphone 3g(not 3gs) at an irresistible price and i wanna confirm that it is unlocked set so that i can use it here.

if wanna unlock it how much would it cost?

Its a locked set. There are many forumers who provide unlock service. Can check out their price @ mobile phone tread.

one question.. i enable notifications set for yahoo messenger.. does it eats my data whenever new data come to my phone? have to rely on it since i cant be with my laptop all the time..

goto reset network setting


if ip address 192.168........

comes up

it should be ok

Hello.

My iPhone 3G 16gb using iOS 4.0.1 cant get online even the WiFi is confirmed connect with a tick and showing full signal bar.

Whats wrong ?
