starting in OS 2.0 actually, the data roaming is off by default ... so you will only have data charges when you are on your own (home) network.
this means even if you have ANY kind of roaming, you have to specifically go and activate the data roaming, only then will it work.

in iOS 4, Apple added another feature, Cellular Data switch. so for those who want an iBrick, you can disable ALL data services at any time and just use your iPhone as a phone and only go online at WiFi zones.

You are right buddy, but some how data blockage is not that secure comparing the new implemented on IOS4.

I did soft reset, take out sim card etc etc.. but still the same..

then i took out my headphone plug in then take out.. problem solved..

Mine is a maxis set, normally if i sent back to maxis to check, how long would it take?

It happened to me on 3g but not 3gs a couple of times. But the problem solved itself tho im not really sure what happened. My theory is maybe that the headphone jack still register the headphone is there (although you've taken it out) so you cant hear unless you do loudspeaker. Should not be a major problem since it only ahppened couple of times for me.

Ever since OS3 never had any leakage on roaming That part I can confirm 100% using Maxis. As for IOS4, I'm still outside the country ever since so no way to testify against that 100% yet

Currently using an iPhone 3Gs. Upgraded to iOS4. No JB. I can't seem to delete all-day events on my iPhone calendar. Whenever I delete em one by one, they still appear! I've tried syncing with my Macbook's iCal but they still appear on my iPhone Calendar. Anybody facing such problem?

Maybe out of topic. But I got kinda bubbles under my screen.
I know the solution is just quick 10 mins fix if I were to brought it to the store since my 3GS is still under warranty but I can't since it is an Australian set. Anyone here kindly enough to point where I can take my phone to get a clean wipe under the glass? Preferably around kl or Ipoh. Thanks.

i've problem adding hotmail account to my mail. incorrect incoming and outgoing server username and password. may i know wat's the username n password?

i'm an iphone newbie. just hv a few questions to ask here. don't know whr to find the answer.

1. If i installed many applications in my iphone, will it make my iphone lag or hang. Because previously using N97 try to download some apps, not even more than 20. my phone memory show not enough memory already and i hv to send my hp to dealer. hope iphone will not b like tat.

I recently did a Wipe using the iphone took hell of a long time but it finished . Then i left it and went to bed when i woke up its still loading . Its an apple logo with the loading circle . so i waited and waited but nothing happened . So i decided to restore it using 3.0.1 3g . But an error message appeared Iphone Firmware Not Compatible .
