1st:
apple wont sign their 3.x firmware anymore

need to adjust the itunes host file

2nd:
the libusb have problem with win7 64-bit

for sure it works with xp, coz i just tried it @ the office

haiz,i tried many methods and i am not sure which method worked and at last i am back to 3.1.2.BUT i lost the network service!
under the About's info page the Network showing 'Not Available' which mine is maxis set...anyone experience the same like me using ipod(iPhone 3G actually)?

Try to reset network settings and reboot your phone after done.

failed to work even i reset n reset for few times.
i think i have no choice but update again to iOS4 for the moment until i found the best solution.

Hello ive been using iphone 4 2month now..hermm my iphone problem is.. it always have a problem bcuz of the network..its very often..like everyweek i need to reset the network setting..hermm so need some help from all of u..thnxx

Dont confuse man, yours is iPhone 4? I bet you mean "used iPhone 'for' ".
If often face this problem then give a full restore. No point to frequently reset network, just troublesome. But make sure your set is official unlock set before upgrading/restoring.

If you dont bother about jailbreak. Then click restore on iTunes. not from your phone.

Is there a way to unofficial upgrade (bypass apple's server) i want to upgrade my iphone 3g to 3.1.3 only.

my iphone cannot be restored using itunes..hoW??

download 'RecBoot'

install 'lilusb...' (included in the RecBoot folder)

restart pc

open the 'hosts' file with notepad



add the following entry to the bottom of the file



put ur phone into DFU mode, use offline update (Shift + Restore)

after updated, there'll be error message,ignore it

shut down itunes

turn on recboot

choose exit DFU/recovery mode

restart itunes, done

Does this work on 3g? i'm not downgrading but upgrading to 3.1.3 on 3g.

No need so troublesome.
1st download 3.1.3 ipsw from pinned tread.
2nd Put your iPhone into DFU mode (please search how to perform dfu).
3rd press shift and restore on itunes. Choose 3.1.3 ipsw you downloaded earlier.
4th Vola

You can press right click on your "iPhone name" on the left and choose "backup iPhone" before performing restore.
Your iPhone cannot restore? No error or whatsoever?

as i mentioned, apple stop signing firmware prior to iOS 4

I believe its still happening for 3g.
And i manage to downgrade IOS4 to 3.1.3 for i3g with custom firmware only. Unless shsh has been saved earlier then will be different story.

hi guys.. i'm quite new here and own an iphone 3g.. it's running on jailbroken 3.1.2... my problem is i get this blank white screen whenever i want to unlock my phone after putting the screen to 'sleep'. It tends on again once a few taps on the screen is done. Is there any solutions guys other than home/sleep button combo n home/sleep/volume up button combo?
