Is it foolproof? If can, can have a piece of mind of no incurring high data charges...

starting in OS 2.0 actually, the data roaming is off by default ... so you will only have data charges when you are on your own (home) network.
this means even if you have ANY kind of roaming, you have to specifically go and activate the data roaming, only then will it work.

in iOS 4, Apple added another feature, Cellular Data switch. so for those who want an iBrick, you can disable ALL data services at any time and just use your iPhone as a phone and only go online at WiFi zones.

I want to restore my iphone 3gs 3.1.3 (currently still 3.1.3)
I have my 3.1.3 shsh file backup before, but lost it. Cydia shows that I have 3.1.3 on file. how do i copy 3.1.3 shsh from cydia server to my computer?  I tried to use tinyumbrella but "Start TSS Server" is not clickable. What's wrong here?

the call waiting is on. its not that.. for example, if i call Alex, and Alex is on the phone with his mom, usually there will be a notification saying that call waiting at the other party right ...... my iphone doesn't have that bro..

i've got a i3Gs why cant i call out when i got Full signal bar?
troubleshoot i've done
1) Caller ID On
2) reboot + Repsring + restart

any other ways i didnt do?

Use fake apn but iphone still connect to digi ip.
anyone facing same problem?

even if i leave apn blank, it will connect to diginet also..

Is it possible to downgrade from iOS 4 to 3.1.3?

The story goes like this:
-Father sent his 3GS to a phone shop for unlocking(which he succeeded last time)
-The fella said he couldn't unlock it that time(yeah, researched, asked here and there was no unlock for accidental upgrade to 3.1.3 last time)
-One day, I went there and asked for the status of the phone
-He told me that he upgraded to iOS4? And now he couldn't jailbreak or unlock. I forgot which did he say but
-Now the phone is unusable again 

And yes, he upgraded without notifying us 

i have that option already..and i tried to put it blank or use fakeapn, but digi still connects to internet

9 dim??? btw i tried data toggle too, but diginet still running..
what app is running in background??  why keep connect..

appreciate advice from iphone user using celcom sim card

im using iphone 3gs 16gb with celcom.since i have upgrade the os to 4.0,seem it giving me a lot of problem like

1) always no sim status
2) network coverage always go from 3g to edge and also no service
3) drop call

solution - always reboot the phone.

there is no problem with my sim.i have put it to my old phone, no such problem encounter. i hope anyone out there whom experience like mine, could share his/her thoughts.

i thought of sending my iphone to maxis centre which i purchase.

not sure about edge, i only have DATA toggle with an icon EDGE .. i turn both "DATA" and "3G" to red.

ya i am using SBsetting, data toggle's icon has a EDGE sign...
and i dont have EDGE option under "set toggle"
only got  "3G" and "DATA"

i called before, they told me disable internet will impact on mms too, that's why i dint do it..

i noticed that when the data ip is 127.0.0.1, diginet is not running..
but why even i change the apn, it still can connect to diginet???
