Hey guys any1 just completed their registration session?wanna know whether the admin staff need original certificates for photocopy later or they just browse through the documents u bring along? if they are quite lenient i wanna make color photocopy of mine coz my parents think its better to keep the important certificates in bank safe. Confusing though   

BTW, how long is the induction programme going to take? A whole day?

If let's say u stay in the same hall with ur fren and dun wish ur room but have files to transfer,can use MSN.
It did a great job.
Although not super fast,also can reach around 1MB/s..
Not sure whether they have done something to limit it or not.
But this is internal la.
Cross hall won't work.
But u can see other's music files thru iTunes.
But they have to switch it on.

Nyone knows how to bypass the torrent restriction rule here in Nottingham? Strange, coz we actually pay for our internet and have limited speed (i got the 512kbps one) , why ban torrent eh?

Because using torrents will increase the server load (sort of) which if it crashes, will be something no one desires. Using torrents also potentially increases the chances of getting attacks and viruses, which again, not good for users and for servers.

bitlet.org is an online torrent client which you may want to explore on. I have not used it myself so I can't tell about the experience.

Just for some bad news. PPS is blocked as well as far as what my friend told me.

For the record, the campus is not that secluded. The long road leading to the front gate is common for lots of local established universities.

@rxy, I'm not sure about this coz I've yet to see a real degree cert awarded by UNMC, but the university prospectus did have a picture of a degree cert, bearing no mention of the campus whatsoever.

Is it that you are prompted to register? I recalled that I blindly register and end up being able to surf internet. My friend did it in a mess as well. You might consider just proceed blindly to see how far you can go. Oh, I did the registration thing like... 1 year plus ago though.
