Nyone knows how to bypass the torrent restriction rule here in Nottingham? Strange, coz we actually pay for our internet and have limited speed (i got the 512kbps one) , why ban torrent eh?
Does anyone know how many ppl are in ComSci this year for UG?
Try to have all of the students in the hall to torrent and I bet the infra will be flooded in less then few seconds.

Because using torrents will increase the server load (sort of) which if it crashes, will be something no one desires. Using torrents also potentially increases the chances of getting attacks and viruses, which again, not good for users and for servers.
bitlet.org is an online torrent client which you may want to explore on. I have not used it myself so I can't tell about the experience.
Just for some bad news. PPS is blocked as well as far as what my friend told me.
More like from the IT Support point of view, it's the policy that needs to be in place.

Aiya, SETARA is a big thing for Notts la. Look at how much they treasure the rankings. Lol.
But there's been a debate in EE about the rankings and what it actually represent, back then.
