In this case, its up to ur own budget and view. Like me, i will try to search a bike in the 90's pricing at Rm10k. With some contacts and all, i think i can buy it at a much cheaper price. So not necessarily u limit your find at Seremban. U might wanna search at KL area since there's not much of a choice there. A new Kawa..for me its kinda too expensive. Rm18k above for 250R. even tho the year count is whole lot more lesser, i don't think i'm gonna stick to a 250 more than 3 years. Like my case, i was planning to train my self in a 250 bike before upgrade to a 600cc bikes. Those 3 years, will be nothing but a training purposes for me. Ofcoz, older bikes u gotta pay cash. not sure if loan can be manage..maybe a personal loan between u n the previous owner.

That's my concern too. since i will take my license this May, that officially put my first riding test n the second one would probably on the bikes that i would buy during that time. i might destroy it on my first ride. haha!

same condition like TS, only that i got dilemma in choosing my first bikes..
but no sing bikes for me..since all are above 600. planning to take normal license. after browsing so many bikes in Mudah.com, my choice comes to few..

Kawasaki ZXR250 97-99 model. price around 10-15k.. ( the only bike that looks like 250 while have a great sound)..unlike the 250R now.. sad.gif

Cagiva Mito 125 cc year 2008 - Rm14-15k.. i've seen the review..n out of 10 riders, 10 say the bikes is hard on maintenance.. spare parts n all are hard to find (really?) but performance wise is superb (for a 125cc..).

I mainly chose this two becoz of their looks n reputation. n ofcoz, the decent prize. If comparing on maintenance, the Cagiva Mito sure gives lots of headache, but on the bright side, it got this Ducati 916 Senna looks ( since same designer..) both can reach 180km/h..n both have wide tyre at the back (which is very cool for a small cc bikes)..

So guys, since i'm kinda new n never ride any bikes before, which do u think is the best? i hardly hit the highways n long distance.. all are city range.

ZXR 250 uses 4 cylinder.... very unreliable.... If u rev hard in idle or first 3 gears, easily can snap the valve....

The ninja 250R meanwhile uses a lazy revving inline 2 engine from the old ZZR 250....

Eventough sound like sewing machine, it is more reliable than the ZX2......

Ninja 250R is not as fast as ZX2.... but maintenance is cheaper....

ZX2 is one of the most overhauled bikes..... shocking.gif

If speaking from my side, having the same budget like u, i would definitely buy the 250R. if you browse around, be it Malacca, seremban or KL, pricing jaz within 13k to 16k mark max. U could take the year 2008, as most 250R do not take their bike for a hardcore ride. Except for me tho, on my 4th day of acquiring my L license and 7th day acquiring my bike, i go naik genting lol.

250R is easy to maintain. Cost for full piping will cost u a bit tho. Rm1.3k at jalan ipoh there. i forgot the name of the bike store d.

Now im aiming Ducs 848. Sexy, practical and sexy. lol.
