vehicle hire purchase loan interest really kills, fixed interest rate are calculated compare to reduction type...Have no plan to change car within the next coming years..wanna keep my pErSoNa in tip top condition..anyhow, this car never failed ..except minor issue

Too many loan, 2 many cards.. super tension and high blood pressure every month.. rclxub.gif
but now problem start showing dee..need some minor repair here and there, front shock ashober worn..tyre worn out unevenly.
*
wow...finally u have done..me still got 2years to go.. sweat.gif ....btw ralf have you encounter the coolant in the spare tank reduce after few weeks of driving? reduce slightly maybe few mm.....mine after few weeks of driving the water reduce slightly and sometimes 2weeks can notice the reduction...
check the engine cap do not have any white/mixed coolant, do not have overheat issues even i drive 120km-150km and traffic jam..the temperature maintain below 90'c, radiator no leak......but 1 thing weird is when i open the radiator cap, the water level seem increase back...change the cap so far but i think still happen....what happen actually..... laugh.gif mileage just nearly 50k..... hmm.gif

It's normal, no worry as long as spare tank coolant is between normal range, neither pressure cap nor radiotor is leaking. If leaking, it is very much noticeable..

Your mileage and mine almost same brows.gif ..going for 50k service soon.
*
wah..sure o not??...yours also reduce slightly after few weeks??.... i usually fill up until the max line then after 2-3weeks driving will see the water drop a bit......haha..yeah....so far no problems besides the coolant issue that makes me thinking about it....hmmmm

Is it good to change Waja to Persona?
Is Persona handling on par with Waja?
*
both is about the same car...just in terms of handling...waja has better handling (1st batch)...compare to persona...but sometimes i feel persona more planted when driving at highspeed compare to waja as sometimes i do feel wooble a bit... but in both has good handling...

Might be some hose already wore out and leaking the radiator water  hmm.gif
*
no leakage found.... doh.gif ...could be gasket d..la...but never overheat before... hmm.gif

and someone in the forum posted about the iafm aircond pipe before....you must coat it with insulflex or sponge to prevent damage on the hose.

my persona just light up the engine logo (a.k.a check engine warning) on meter there and just light up all the time. What is cause of that? Please advice.

(just reach 220km M-Line MT Persona Elegance)

send for checking..should be some error in the ecu....normally they will retune it again...

ATTENTION to non-iafm models...1st batch year 2007

well...like bro heavencould point out about the aircond pipe...but his was 2008 model with IAFM....

but...for 2007 models...there are two area that have the same problem also which is the aircond pipe and engine pipe which is the pipe near the fan(silver paper that coats the pipe), and the pipe that connect to the engine (near the airfilter box)....bro ralf...maybe u can have a look to see yours got the problem o not....because mine got slightly cut........will post up the pictures by tonight...

test all the buttons and switches in the car, then slam the door for few times to see if its close tightly, open and close the bonnet to see if its ok... then check the brake fluids, coolant, just look at the engine compartment..la...and drive... brows.gif
and after you gt your car..be-sure to insulate the pipes that bro havencould had comment...before the pipes worn out...have fun

uwaaa... but how come my one gave up first despite i only own the car for 1 year 2 months now compare to u guys which bought the car way before than me...  sweat.gif
*
well....yours is IAFM and the engine layout is different compare to the normal campro 2007 batches... here are the areas i suspect....

user posted image
the silver protector is pealing off/cut

user posted image
near the airfilter box

user posted image
the circle area is aircond pipe that rubs with the radiator frame...use double sided tape to stick on the sharp edges or use insfulex like me

the circle area is the aircond pipe that rubs the plastic frame....maybe for all persona owners can get a check on this area....as mine was the silver coating got cut off d....and for the 2007 non iafm models, can check the airfilter pipe that infront of airfilter box....so far i have use double sided tape and the sponge to prevent damage on the pipes...

That's the reason i change to smaller tyre, 195/55 instead of 195/60 for better grip without upgrading the brake pump.
*
yeah...55series more stable but abit hard on uneven surfaces.....and comparing to original 60series and 55series which side by side....my car that fitted with 55series is slight lower than stock tires which can be notice... laugh.gif ....and tire slightly smaller.....next tire maybe going to try primacy lc....more to comfort d... brows.gif

Added on April 4, 2010, 11:46 pmand btw...see most of you guys commenting on the VS pivot grounding...wondering does it actually improve the acceleration and aircond suction power??

sigh... i find that sometimes pulling out of a corner is lacking power especially when rpm is around 2 to 3k / around 40 to 60kmh. seems like the rpm is happier at the upper range above 3k

IAFM like no oommpphh ler...
*
wah i thought IAFM suppose to cure the problem??..im driving the plain engine...and always lack of power when the rpm is around 2-3k rpm....unless accelerate from standstill...

better don't, or car does not comes with traction control  cool2.gif Unless you upgrade to bigger/wider rim, eg: 16" and fit with 205/50/16 primacy lc to compensate the grip lost..
what about 205/50,60/R15 tires??...wondering does it affect the acceleration and FC since the tires slightly bigger....and how long have you use the tire??....changing?? brows.gif ....my PP2 used for 15000km plus..still have 90% thread left..and i see the thread wont bald... laugh.gif

Won't bald? I think you overinflate the tyre.. whistling.gif  cool2.gif My current set of tyre clocked 23k km d..still have 55-60% tread left. Early of next month do 50k service plus tyre changing..

205/60/15, cannot fit..tall sidewall, too bulky, not nice.
205 is wider, sure no power..hence i find 195/55/15 or 195/50/16 just nice, maybe 205/50/16.
*
huh?..i pump 235kpa front....and 220kpa back...is it overinflated?.....wonder what about urs?

persona running with timing belt or timing chain?
*
belt..that's why need to spend more on timing belt changing which is every 80k....unlike cars with timing chain that able to last throughout the whole engine life span.
