How to fit desktop fans into the U2 or U3 o?
Don't even know where to start

i did b4 for my project but seriously i can't rmb cos i learn from book that time.. shame for a electronic guy like me!

sifu lee.. best is use the power supply from desktop! better dun connect the diy fan from usb to the lappy.. if the volt/current/ampere doesn't match then might cause unnecessary issue!

But I'm really noob la, don't understand the components

ITEMS USED :
1. CM Notepal U3 Aluminium Body
2. 3x CM 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan -> This one I get 2 should be enough for U2?
3. Linksys Router Adapter (1A, 12V) -> What is this and where to get?
4. 2-pin Female Connector comes with CM Silent Fan -> Comes along with the fan?
5. Some Wire Tapes, Double Rubber Tapes and Wire Connectors

All I need to get is the fans and a "Router Adapter" ? So easy meh? lol
So the fan will be powered by A/C socket right?

That power supply too big...
I tried connect diy fan with usb, still works fine..

can improve it as he can't adjust the speed of fan..

What do you mean sifu?
The Router Adapter power supply too big? Which one should I get then?
If connect the fan to USB, won't the speed (and cooling) be the same?

As long as it spins faster than the stock fans then should be good enough~

3.The power adaptor, I got the 15v but adjustable from 3V until 15V, so I can adjust fan speed, last time bought around RM15 or 20..

Was replying to ngkhanmein, the desktop power supply too big
Useful for reducing noise if want silent..
My fan is too loud on full power 12V, so most of the time I run at 7.5V..

but better lah.. i added b4 on my desktop with 3 external 5v fan but is not useful seriously.. i rmb no matter u use 12v adapter & the fan still run lower than 12v de..

get 1A de..... then if u fell too fast the fan.. can use resistors to lower A... haha...

Haven't went to All IT yet haha....

Cooling efficiency varies from laptop to laptop... if your laptop doesn't have a lot of vents underneath, then there's no real point in using those fans haha

And the thing is you need to know how much a cooler pad will help decrease temps... 10C decrease is considered insane liao
Can expect around 5C decrease haha
