You will pay UNSW fees regardless of what you were paying in Taylor's.
your wrong on that one, once you transfer to UNSW, you have nothing to do with Taylor's anymore besides being an alumni. You'll only get a Degree from UNSW.
*
So I was right about the fees? Haha pretty sad to spend all that time in taylor's, only to get just one certificate from UNSW when you transfer. Then again, it's just a piece of paper to show that you qualify to work for another man tongue.gif

That wholly depends on what course you're doing and your personal opinion.
You have to really consider and compare the pros and cons.
I can simply tell you that Taylor's is the best place to go, but that's because I'm in the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, and I personally think it's the best place to go. And also because I live nearby. So to me, it's the perfect place.
But what's perfect to one person might not be the best for you.
So it all depends the course you're interested in and also your own opinion.

Anyone mind elaborating a bit on the 2 bolded courses and what kinda prospect it has in the future? smile.gif

Im currently doing diploma in hospitality management and I feel that this course doesn't really suit me and was told that after finishing this course, I'll be able to take any of the courses above, based on the results of my accounting/finance/business maths subjects. So I'm kinda interested on those 2 courses, is there anyone doing them now?

Thanks nod.gif

Guys any advice which university is better UCTI, MMU Melaka, Taylors, MSU in terms of the course im taking.
Which is the Undergraduate program in Forensics in Computing.
I just finished my diploma in computer studies at KDU, but KDU does not offer that course.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Does Taylor's have that course? Last I checked there wasn't though that was a long time ago and I'm lazy to check now XP
Anyway unless it's a twinning degree I'd go with MMU since if that course does exist in Taylor's now, it would be still new and have a lot of room to improve and stuff to fix.

yeah i would choose MMU too. Cos it's world ranking is quite good compare to other universities in Malaysia. But the thing is, It campus will be in Melaka.. Is it like an isolated place? A boring place? Thats what im worry about.

There's a ceiling amount on loans and I don't think it'll be enough to cover the whole fees in Taylor's and it's only for your Degree years. It doesn't cover Foundation or TBF.
The amount however, I do not remember and do not have the time to go and search around for it right now. You should ask Taylor's that.
How much loan you will receive from PTPTN depends on a few factors like your Parents/Guardian's income for example.

Was looking for the same info on the PTPTN site last night and found this: http://www.ptptn.gov.my/docs/KADAR%20PEMBI...TPTN-020611.pdf

It shows the maximum loan that PTPTN offers for different kinds of courses, but it will still depend on other kinds of factors like what Hikari said, hope it helps smile.gif

Added on December 30, 2011, 10:58 pmHi, I went to enquire about the LLB UK twinning today and pretty much made up my mind, gonna apply and register asap. Something I forgot to ask while I was there, about the textbooks and how to get them? Buy from outside/second hand from seniors/rent from the Uni? Any current or past law students can give me an answer? unsure.gif

Also I live about 15 mins away from the lakeside campus so planning to drive on a daily basis (I hope I know what I'm getting myself into D:), what are the parking charges like?

P/S: Ignore the last question! Found the carpark rates on Taylor's Facebook page. But really, RM3 every day is a serious turnoff! I'm guessing the free parking will be like striking lottery... cry.gif Suddenly the free double storey carpark at INTI Penang sounds good, even if it was always bursting and we had to double park/park illegally and risk clamping/circle around for 15-30 mins a day throughout the year... "Cannot find parking" was always an acceptable excuse for being late for class tongue.gif Guess the parking situation's the same everywhere.

Intakes for all of Taylor's programmes are listed on their website. Go and check for yourself.

If it's a common text book , you can borrow from the library, renewing and borrow another copy throughout the semester ahaha XP
You will always have seniors selling their second hand books. There's a bookstore on campus and also one of Taylor's official book store partners in SS15 in front of Taylor's College and they come sometimes at the beginning of the sem to sell books.

Your classmates are fixed but you go around to different classrooms for different subjects.
