Hello guys,

Today, I would like to ask question about the warranty offered by Dell. I want to know whether the warranty is only applicable at local or global? For instance, if I have bought a laptop from Dell Malaysia and bring it over to Germany. Suddenly, laptop got problem and need to fix it with my warranty. Does it valid? hmm.gif

Yes.. any of the warranty carry 3 years from dell will straight away change to international..
Means
1 or 2 years = local warranty
3 years above = international

Requirements for Dell warranty in oversea countries are
1. Need to purchase any 3 years warranty at time of purchased of laptop.
2. Country of destination have similar model.

hmm.gif I think Dell Studio XPS 16 and Alienware M15x should have no problems on fulfilling these requirements but I do have a question. The keyboard for Germany laptops are a little bit difference than Malaysia. Does this void the requirements?

When you all say local warranty, does that mean that its only covered within the country you purchased the laptop from? Because I heard my friend saying dell's default warranty (one year) is covered in the ASEAN region. Need confirmation from experienced dell users. =)

Local warranty means warranty within Asia Pacific if you bought your laptop at Malaysia.
