I think I have to disagree with you. Electronic stuffs may be cheap in US but not in Europe. For instance, Germany which is the place I'm currently studying. The laptops here are so darn expensive till enforce me to buy laptop from other country and import it into here. Haiyz ... Anyway, I do recommend to buy Asus G73Jh.

In my case, Ken Lee from GenTechPC did not call me to verify. After I have successfully do the transaction, Ken Lee automatically made an order for me. Yea, my order is confirmed already. I even can track the location of my laptop too. As for the customs matters, you have to ask Tek.

There is nothing to ask. I have wrote everything down heh.

The customs form is just RM18. Another of their "brilliant" idea to get some duit kopi from us. Granted, the customs officer I dealt with that day was pretty nice. I just had to purchase the form, let them chop a few times . . and I am out of the complex. The officer didn't even wanted me to open the box to inspect if i were actually ordering a laptop or semtex or C4 smile.gif

I was going to buy Studio XPS 16 this week but I bump into this thread and change my mind instantly smile.gif

Just wondering on the after ASUS sales support, from what I found it's not that good... just hope the quality is good enough and need not to engage with them biggrin.gif

Asus after sales service may not as good as Dell but I personally believe that Asus built quality is above average and of course seldom got hardware problems. Hehehehe ... Oh yea, I'm liking so much the global warranty offered by them which is remarkable.

Well another reason I went for G73JH is coz I went to one of those big shot shops around sunway to enquire bout their laptops, G51VX-A1 or sum model with I7 and 260 GTX start price RM 7999, I ask bout other spec they say minimum RM 9999. RM 7999 discount max also 7499. rclxub.gif

So I guess buying the G73 now and later official at Malaysia I estimate the price should be around 8999-9999. This also depends when the official date will be.

Warranty also same so I guess not much diff. Altho comparing to the Alienware M15X and M17X their service is top notch as I have a few units of dell. thumbup.gif

OMG...I thought their customer service was the dumps . . but this is just too much! I don't understand why anyone should ever want to give this company any business from now onwards. Not responding to prospective customer is bad enough, but to renege on delivery time . . what more by 2-3 months is just  doh.gif  rclxub.gif

naim . . get your money back and order from US resellers or pm corallinkz . . he is giving a good deal at the moment smile.gif
(however, since they have your money now, I have a feeling you're gonna have a terrible time with them in trying to get back that cash. Good Luck)

Hope this is a lesson to all. If you don't wanna get burned by this horrible company . . steer clear.
*
LOL. thanks for recommending me.
i'll open thread soon i guess, when my 1st orders went well. as it should.

using one. somehow i feel the keyboard around the gpu side (right side) gets hot with the silicone cover over the keyboard. maybe this laptop really does have intakes for the fans sumwhere on top? so anyways, now i'm using my silicone cover only on the left side of my keyboard covering the WASD "gaming" keys. tongue.gif

Thanks for you guys experience. Actually, the main purpose I'm using the keyboard protector is to prevent the dust from entering the gap between the keyboard. I'm kinda dislike to see all the dust covering my keyboard. However, I do concern about the heat dissipation as I have heard someone said that Asus G73Jh has air intakes from the keyboard area?

i'd say if u really hate to see dust on your keyboard, buy it n use for normal pc use... and remove/put in only on the left side like me, for gaming. after all it's only rm8... buy de use no use oso no harm. smile.gif
