For people who received the letter from HSBB but nobody called, please call 1300881222 to register your package.

DO NOT call streamyx because they know NOTHING and will keep asking you to wait until the trial over also ask you to wait.

I just called the HSBB line and the customer service straight away explain to me about HSBB and registered my confirmation. Next week TM people should come to my house. Can't wait! laugh.gif

my bad, i thought there was a way to become a beta tester.
i think that TM just randomly picks anyone to become a beta tester by sending them an e-mail with comfirmation to become one.
just pray it'll be one of us.

beta tester guys, please do us a favour by posting your local and international speed by doing a speedtest.
or even a screenshot of your donwload speed for big size files would be sweet too.
if you've done it, thank you.

please do feel free to post some pictures of the other stuff that was given to you guys by TM.
do continue to update us for those any upcoming beta testers.

hopefully the prices will be reveal soon and i hope its not to pricey. cross fingers.
for now, lets continue discussing TM's HSBB smile.gif

I wonder if the D-Link router is a requirement, or if it can be put in a closet in favor of our own equipment. It's not something I would want on my network.
*
definately gonna be a requirement...they mention we can't even change the settings of the router as they will refresh it back periodically...even the WEP password is set by them...to change u need to make a request via the service center and get it approved or something...

not sure why but am presuming they just want to control things...but am sure when its live they won't have the bandwith to monitor to closely...

to change the WEP password is a no problem. Changed it right after they finished installing just now.

Based on the screenies latency issue is still not fixed. Ping to US and EU seems good but a bit high for asia-based servers. Hope its fixed cause high latency to singapore or japan is ridiculous :|

Bear in mind HSBB is in T R I A L or B E T A, so there're still testing them. Don't judge too quickly on things thats not even finished. We will just have to wait and hope these problems will be ironed on when they are release (doubt it'll happen biggrin.gif).

Subscribed about a month ago. I must say it's not bad, however, through speedtest.net, the connection usually shows download 0.60mbps - 0.70mbps then suddenly shoots up to 7.00mbps ~ 20mbps.

Upload speed still remain same? 430Kbps? No higher? :/

Have you asked them whether they will offer a package with higher upload speed? Kinda useless having a broadband with 20Mbps download but less than half megabit for upload blink.gif
