QUOTE(princessgalaria @ Jan 21 2011, 01:17 PM) I think I will settle for Tango Vibrant since I google and saw the Airport Rail Rink is very near and probably 15-20mins walk to Chit Lom station. Best thing is only 10mins walk to Platinum Mall and around 15 mins to Central World, Big C. U r welcomeThere's a service apartmnet called PR Place which is nearer to Airport Rail Link - Ratchaprarop Station. Less than 100 m while Tango Vibrant is across the road of PR place (not directly) , you have to walk further down towards right then turn left into a lane.Walk abount within may be 100 - 200 m. And if you need to catch a BTS just take Ratchaprarop Airport Rail Link and go to Phaya Thai station to change to BTS.Need not go to ChitLOM. And to take MRTA just Ratchaprarop Airport Rail Link go to Makassan and walk to Petchaburi MRTA. |

Unfortunately the citylink (airport rail) line is running with approx. 30 min. frequencies between trains. If you've just missed the last train, it's going to take a long time to get to what is a relatively near station. If you're alone, try taking the motorcycle taxis (motosai) instead at around 10B per person to Chitlom. They are found almost every corner wearing colorful vests. Say "pai chitlom BTS, thao rai khap/kha?" (how much to chitlom?) and he will say either sip baht (10) or sip ha (15) - not more than that. |

I'm ok with walking, I tried walking like half an hour to a mall when I was in Phuket because along the road there was many stuffs to see, but I think BKK way too hotThis post has been edited by princessgalaria: Jan 22 2011, 01:32 AM |

My planning for 5D 4N,
Day 1, 2pm Check in. 3pm Look for Day tour for Day 2. 4pm Head to Yaowarat (China Town) Dinner seafood at China Town. Walk around china town night market. Day 2, Go for day tours like temples and Grand Palace. Afternoon, going for Chao Praya River Cruise for sunset scenery. Go Skybar or Vertigo Bar for a drink and see the night view. If early, might go club in RCA. Day 3. Shopping spree around Pratunam and Siam area. Lunch at the pratunam famous chicken rice. Continue the malls for shopping Dinner at one of the famous food courts. Continue shopping for the night. Foot massage b4 go back hotel. Day 4, Continue shopping (buy those we missed on day 3) Free & easy if there is any nice attractions to visit. Go baiyoke sky tower for sunset view. Consider going Nana or khao san for the night life scenes. Day 5, Chatuchak Weekend Market. Around 5pm, ready go fly back. If anyone can suggest more places to visit or famous eatries. Please recommend me.. |

QUOTE(mugenz @ Jan 23 2011, 01:18 AM) My planning for 5D 4N, Wahhh interesting, my sister told me not to go China Town she said it's a waste of time besides sharkfin and gold. Some selling fake sharkfin as well Day 1, 2pm Check in. 3pm Look for Day tour for Day 2. 4pm Head to Yaowarat (China Town) Dinner seafood at China Town. Walk around china town night market. Please recommend me.. Go to Platinum Fashion Mall it's a wholesale fashion mall. Massage so far I heard healthland / body tune is not bad ... Eating - if you want seafood try Somboon Seafood. Mango Tango dessert and Swensens much cheaper than here. Then this place call Som Tom but always packed with people. MK Steamboat is not bad, located at MBK. Cabbages and Condom is place is more for the ambiance than the food. |

There's another restaurant one lane b4 somtum that serves vietnamese n thai food. U shud try there as locals frequent there. Somboon the curry crab is great n the pork satay infront the shop is nice too. The local street food is damn nice n super spicy. Mixed rice n clear soup noodles are great. Beware on their chillis!! Chatuchak, u shud try din pa at soi 1, section 4. Great, spicy and cheap local food. The sausages n coconut ice cream at chatuchakis great too |

Icic thanks for explaining, you're so familiar with roads and transport Yes that's the way to Grand Palace. However, there are many ferry taxis make sure u ask before you hop in. Is very cheap ticket. The conductor will go around like ferry to collect money and give u ticket. make sure u know which to hop out. There are this tourist ferry which cost abt 150 THB for unlimted ride. However, I don't think it will cost you that much to where u wanna go. If u t Tha Thien pier u can go accross wat arun (got to change ferry) Cheers This post has been edited by DrezzUp: Jan 25 2011, 01:55 PM |
