saran bro, I dunno what to to check on camshaft.
AFAIK, if we have the blueprint to the camshaft, such as the dimensions so we can measure it, for one. When put back to engine head assy, make sure use torque wrench. Can ask Yamaha service center what's the torque to tighten that. Check clearance to the valves, etc...

people, need some opinion n comments ere.. i hv tis carb which has been bored insanely... the part wher air filter is attached supposedly 26mm by origin but nw it is 33mm horizontally and 29mm vertically... next the part wher the inlet manifold is fixed, its nw bored to the max which is 31mm... i'm really confused whether tis carb cn be used or not?  rclxub.gif  for sure the foreman is gonna hav a nightmare to set tis carb  doh.gif

better throw this off. rebore carb will have screwed up air-fuel mixture at various rpm. engineer design the carb at certain dimension with purpose.
I have tried rebored standard carb (22mm to 24mm). throttle response varies across rpm.

theoretically FZ cam got higher top end power and lower low end torque.
In real case, I dont know. never install FZ 150 cam into my bike before, cannot tell the feel.

impossible with 57mm + standard carb. The engine potential is limited to either top end or mid range.

even you changed cam, the exhaust gas will be trapped in the pipe too.
camshaft and pipe must match well.

IINM, potong head or jek road got same purpose, to increase compression inside the block.
Anyone care to explain more regarding this. Coz sometimes i heard they jek the road around 2-3mm to increase the performance and the effect quite significant...

higher compression ratio makes the air-fuel charges mixed better, hence increased the efficiency when we spark the mixture. but this will damage the engine quickly because it is very stressful. I have tried potong head 0.6mm, effect is good, but not a WOW factor. The most WOW factor I got is changing block + piston, and secondly swap to NOB1 SSS with no air filter.

lol.. i was using the same carb, but RXZ's carb that was originally made in japan with the emboss words on there. i was using 3 RXZ carbs before.. 2 of 'em is made by taiwan and another one is fake, but the performance drop after a few months of used. But after been changed to original made in japan.. the performance just cool until now. thumbup.gif
