When i change my rim to 16 and use the tyre 16/50/205 the tyre easily hit the rear banana leaf like yours if there is passenger at the back....after change to 16/50/195 the problem fix.
*
I've got no problem even on lowered suspension. The missing banana leaf is because I accidentally hit a curb (with front bumper) while reversing causing the banana leaf to fall out.

Me last time used 205/45/17 with gap spring.. rear, both side already have a hole.. tongue.gif Now use stock spring and 15" rim...

Both front and rear cover still intact although had an accident.

IMO, it shouldn't be a problem if done once in a while. Usually I shift up before it hit the rev cut. Just make sure you use good quality engine oil and change it on time.

195/50/R16 is same width as stock 195/55/R15.
so with stock suspension won't hit any.

I know but i thought tak kene last time...huhu I think my last tyre Kumho Ecsta (205/50/16) can cut water better than my current Conti SC1 (195/50/16) although wider, but i think this conti abit sticky than the Kumho.
