QUOTE(pearjar @ Feb 17 2010, 07:57 AM) From my experience, there are 2 sound.. One from air cond.. When turn more than half (gen2), it make sound of loosing part... Nothing to do with rpm... What mod you did for that?Second one from engine vibration... Before any mod, feel light vibration at paddle during 3k-4k rpm... After mod, no more vibration at paddle.. But got sound from dashboard and door... in that rpm range... Solution: Install ICE... BOOM BOOM POW... I settled the air cond sound. Now only the rattling sound at 2.8k rpm to 3.1k rpm. Exactly same noise no matter which gear.. Now what I gonna do is the meter. I suspected the rattling sound is from inside the meter. QUOTE(eujinee @ Feb 27 2010, 08:20 PM) can....no pobem....come come.. How sure can you clarify that castrol is better interms of taking care of internals of the engine? How could the engine oil make the engine vibration? 5th March TT major gathering (Friday) Venue : Jalan Tun Razak Shell Station Time : 9pm - 930pm (punchual pls) Atendees : eujin rydeck azumakun verm Ezwan - will attend to take the sticker only since working on the next day huhu Thein Wu Added on February 27, 2010, 8:24 pm for me ..castrol for life..i tried shell and mobil same on 10w 40 semi......still cant beat castrol....castrol is better interms of taking care of its internals.....less noise.less engine vibration.smoother rpm range..... Actually I already done alot of research about engine oil regarding how good is the engine oil protect the internal. Surprising me that for those customer who always use shell, petronas, halvoline, castrol, total and etc, alot carbon is contains inside which make me difficult to clean it during overhaul. Engine oil is not just for lubrication. Engine oil still do alot of thing when inside the engine. While some of my customer use those not so branded oil engine really surprising me that already 300k km, the engine inside is still shinning while less of carbon. The rocker arm, valve and camshaft is cleaner. When I see back their records, those owner service they car before hitting the service millage. So I believe no matter what engine oil we use, make sure we service the car on time. |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Feb 28 2010, 01:29 PM) RM160+Puma sling bag, 5W40 (if not mistaken). Not only you. Me too. Using fully Q8 f1. But now change back to semi cause I don't want my engine bocor sini bocor sana. When the oil too light, it will find they way to come out from the engine like oil seal or o ring. Especially when you high rev always.. Don't try Can't really say that semi syn is not good enough but when you redlining the rpm, you will feel it lacks ummmppphhh (maybe its just me). QUOTE(noisetrigger @ Feb 28 2010, 02:17 PM) Didn't get any hits for my question in the satria thread so I though I try my luck here. Shoft shifter is a crap! I changed it on my LMST, within 3 month my left hand build up muscle. It damn hard to shift and hard to engaged reverse gear. Short shifter doesn't worth to play with it.anyone here did a short shifter mod for their car? I want to do one for my Neo CPS and Kakimotor is selling one for RM 180. However there is one dude selling one (redlinemax) here for only RM130. Wondering which one I should go for? Added on February 28, 2010, 4:54 pm QUOTE(sphiroth @ Feb 28 2010, 03:07 PM) I personally think kakimotor stuff are more expensive (such as K&N, UR bars, etc) maybe due to cost of ship rental, workers etc. I would say, go for the cheaper one. But from my experience (LMST), after you change to short sifter, you will curse yourself for few days because you need more force to shift up/down. But after that, you will totally loved it. No need man.. Find a shop which modified gearbox, change all the gear inside become spur gear. Confirm power! Anyway, a better suggestion is to mod the existing part just outside the GB (requires cutting and welding) to reduce the shifting throw but maintain the same gearknob height, which is useful if your car got armrest. Just it cost RM200++ and required 4 hours time to ge it done. This post has been edited by singchaii: Feb 28 2010, 04:54 PM |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Feb 28 2010, 05:37 PM) I listen this before.. It really worth to do it. Will it hard to engage gear?QUOTE(noisetrigger @ Feb 28 2010, 05:48 PM) Thanks guys for all your replies, guess I will stick with just changing to short shifter rather than welding and cutting. Spur gear is straight dog teeth gear inside the gearbox. Most of the car is running helical gear only reverse gear is spur gear that why when we engaged to reverse gear, you can hear the sound like gear running. Spur gear when compare with helical gear, spur gear contact with another gear is much more better. Understand? I don't know how to explain. The price to mod the original shifter is too high and worse of all, not reversible. Now just need to do more research for the most bang for buck short shifter out there. Anyway what is this spur gear mod? What are the benefits? What the other cons other than loud sound? QUOTE(mrl @ Feb 28 2010, 07:54 PM) 1k??? wallaaaaaa.... so far away r??? When buy castrol engine oil, must be extra careful. The castrol imitation engine oil is 90% look like original castrol oil.will try castrol la in the next service... can't go to fully yet... budget constrain... BTW, both Castrol Magnatec and Shell Helix semi have 7.5k span right???? |

I ask why so espensive and he said 'Borch' ma (ori) Try aftermarket BP like TRW. Borsch original bp seem not really good.Is it true those dust free brake pad is less grid compare to normal brake pad? I have claimed warranty on my rear both absorbers, no more 'nyek' sound when cross over hump So now the TT is on 5/3 or 6/3?
