QUOTE(noisetrigger @ Feb 28 2010, 02:17 PM) Didn't get any hits for my question in the satria thread so I though I try my luck here. anyone here did a short shifter mod for their car? I want to do one for my Neo CPS and Kakimotor is selling one for RM 180. However there is one dude selling one (redlinemax) here for only RM130. Wondering which one I should go for? I personally think kakimotor stuff are more expensive (such as K&N, UR bars, etc) maybe due to cost of ship rental, workers etc. I would say, go for the cheaper one. But from my experience (LMST), after you change to short sifter, you will curse yourself for few days because you need more force to shift up/down. But after that, you will totally loved it. Anyway, a better suggestion is to mod the existing part just outside the GB (requires cutting and welding) to reduce the shifting throw but maintain the same gearknob height, which is useful if your car got armrest. Just it cost RM200++ and required 4 hours time to ge it done.

QUOTE(noisetrigger @ Feb 28 2010, 05:48 PM) Thanks guys for all your replies, guess I will stick with just changing to short shifter rather than welding and cutting. The price to mod the original shifter is too high and worse of all, not reversible. Now just need to do more research for the most bang for buck short shifter out there. Anyway what is this spur gear mod? What are the benefits? What the other cons other than loud sound? You won't regret it.

QUOTE(greddy @ Mar 1 2010, 11:04 PM) I'm going for keyless start. The whole point of me posting here is to avoid the engine locking up by ecu. So i need to know what options do i have before i decide on the next course of action. Open your key and take the small rectangular shape box inside and put/stick it somewhere near the key hole. Problem solve.

QUOTE(Decyfer @ Mar 2 2010, 10:01 AM) i'm not sure if this question already been raised before. as we know, there are various way to setup an open pod. some custom their air ram to bend towards the back of the headlamp to avoid heat from radiator fan n some just straight toward the radiator fan. my question to sifus here is, does the length of air ram affect the car HP? some say shorter ram is better cos the air will be suck directly into a car's internal-combustion engine, but suck more hot air, some say longer ram is better to avoid hot air. Long air ram (u can placed the open pod away from the hot air from radiator fan) (pic courtesy of joonlong) Short air ram (direct toward the hot air from radiator fan) pls enlighten me. which one is the best set up long ram or short ram? I would vote for standard air ramp and drop in air filter. QUOTE(kobe10 @ Mar 2 2010, 04:31 PM) Ori brake pad not nice to use de.. I just get my car about 1 month. Keep making noise already.
