QUOTE(Casanova88 @ Feb 24 2010, 03:22 PM) That's the most ridiculous statement I've heard so far, sorry to say. If that's the case we might as well wear claret and blue stripes. QUOTE(turtles_inc @ Feb 24 2010, 04:04 PM) No.It'll be Fly Emirates for many years to come as part of the stadium naming deal. 8 years for the shirt and 15 for the Grove IINM. |

QUOTE(Liuism @ Feb 24 2010, 03:42 PM) Well, unlike the performance on the pitch, fans have little to influence the design On a serious note, who actually responsible for the design of a jersey? The sponsor or someone in the club (and who?) ? This post has been edited by kimhoong: Feb 24 2010, 07:27 PM |

JVC sponsored Arsenal since the 80s until 99, if not mistaken.
then got Sega, then Dreamcast, then 02 and now Emirates. Loved the late 80s JVC Adidas kit. |

QUOTE(Kimie @ Feb 24 2010, 10:10 PM) you have this Jersey or not bro? mind to share the photo... I have one from 1990... Will try to korek out from my cupboard tomorrow and take a photo. Wife sleeping now. IMO Nike design for Tennis player superb... and 'bout Adidas i think they major in football jersey... correct me if i'm wrong Adidas has been traditionally linked with football... But Nike has had some brilliant marketing campaigns the past decade or so, and that has really propelled them in the football world and stole a lot of market share from Adidas. Somehow or rather, football fans and amateur footballers will always have a connection with Adidas. I'm sure most of us here who plays/played football had a pair of Adidas boots in their life (probably the boot we bought after Foong Keong and Umbro!). QUOTE(sickx @ Feb 24 2010, 10:13 PM) yes.the design is good.but look at how the players wear it.
