not really. dont have the chance to get rpm near redline. (coz only use D, i should use shiftronic to get rpm near redline.. by the way even i want to do it, but always trap between hard rev and sayang car feeling. haha)

some other members really did hard break in. i cant recall whom.

but i just able to do like what manual says. rpm between 2k and 4k. and it is advised to avoid same speed driving for long period.
if want play safe, follow manual. if got guts use hard break in method.
*
Which page of the manual got tech about the break in? I can't find it. Thanks

Is that the actual break in from the manual book or just some info that shared from wiki, members here? I'm looking for the break in method from the manual if there is one.

That's a very nice comparison pics you got there. I like Forte's dashboard but prefer Lancer's gearbox, it would be nicer if Kia made Forte like Lancer, +- gear on the right side instead of left.

Guys, I'm not sure which type to pump, 95 or 97. I drive to work everyday from Seremban to Cyberjaya, around 100km per day, but I'm not using highway, I use old road to avoid tol. Certain places can goes up to 100km/h but most of the time 60-80km/h. In this case, which type of petrol do better on fuel consumption.

no way to save lar other than driving smoothly. use ron95 to really save money with ahpek driving style.
ron97 expensive even the extra kms are offset by the higher price so not much savings.
the car is running fine with ron95 worst fc is with shell. try others with eazy access in your area.
*
It depends on the driving style but engine also makes a lot of difference.

I tested with my previous new saga, Ron95 get more mileage than Ron97 with the same roads and same style. Whereby, Honda City, with Ron97 I can get more mileage than Ron95.

I usually pump RM40, so with City, it means I get less litres for Ron97 but it gives me more distance/power compare to Ron95. If Forte can do the same, I would love to pump Ron97 instead of 95, right?

I'll test it and report it back here to share with you guys. By the way, I use Petronas, Shell tend to gives a louder engine noise to me.

second that. shell is super lousy these days.
dont be fool with their marketing gimmick.

the only good about them is many stations available like petronas.

i've only test once for ron97. better mileage i can get.
but prefer use them on highway. if 100% city drive i guess will not make much differences

QUOTE(miet @ Feb 18 2010, 11:44 AM)
Looking forward for your report. If RON 97 petronas is proven more economical, gives more mileage/power etc..
we shall go for RON97. nod.gif
*
Will test and share the report. Probably need a week time because normally I pump 2-3 times per week, each time RM40, Forte so far only pump once, now still got 2xx KM to go before the tank finish.

c00l ... just set anytime and date ... huhu maybe not TT but lunch .... but where can we park our forte in rows .. huhu .. i think terminal ? or rahim bistro area / secret recipe .. since all place are quite pack with cars if lunch hour smile.gif
*
Lunch cannot park together because everywhere full of cars, want to find parking also hard.

Maybe happy hour after work, there is a public parking area near to the traffic lights beside Dell, last time New Saga got a gathering over there as well, a huge parking lot and most of the time empty.

I saw it too. Jason, u work at Dell? are you the one driving metal bronze with K emblem?  biggrin.gif
e-jat, yours is spicy red right? so next time TT at cyberjaya, we park our spicy red side by side.  icon_rolleyes.gif
me too..
*
Yup, I work in Dell, my car is metal bronze but not with K emblem, still Naza emblem, not going to change it, too expensive, doesn't feel worth the money, rather spend the money with a better tyre if needed.

You also work in Dell? I saw another Forte in here previously, I think it is Titanium silver color.

Didn't really notice about the emblem. So far I saw 2 Forte in Dell exclude mine, one park inside, one park at the visitor parking. Anyway which one is yours?
