dun know how long it will take to repair it or may be claim warranty...??

Of course send to SC to check la, if not u want repair by urself? laugh.gif

Small problem only, this part will worn after long period of usage and become the case u said, my old car before also suffer, don worry.

*
Happened to me twice just now...before this scenario, the car is hard to start, after start that, the engine act like what u said...it normally happen to me after hot engine start (means after stop for a while and start again). The RPM rise and fall is periodic one, like got rhythm one, tongue.gif just press ur accelerator for a while the car will back to normal.

My was one roughly 1 year plus. But my battery was maintenance free one. So cannot add any battery water.

Yeah...going to let my SC people check. But the weird thing was my battery was only 1 year plus.
*
Since ur battery no warranty adi (>1 year), just tear away the sticker on top, open the nut by screw driver and add water. Our stock battery is 'fake' maintenance free.

Just changed my halogen bulbs from stock yellow to white.

White halogen bulbs seem to have a smaller radius than yellow halogen bulbs.

Anyone can explain?
*
Hey, how much for that? so the outcome is OK? brighter than ori bulb or not? hmm.gif

About the radius, different bulb got different filamen position, and the position will affect the focus point, thats why the radius also change. I learn this from the torch light bulb, so i think same case for ur car bulb also. This is my concern point, the ori bulb low beam is very even on road, just not enuf bright for me. I scare after change it will become uneven (can see the bright spot).

I paid RM 79 for it (H4 12v 60/55w which is the same as ori bulb only different color). White halogen bulb looks brighter but its light radius is not as wide as ori bulb. I guess that's a trade off sad.gif

Nevertheless, white halogen bulb looks much better imo. Almost everyone is using yellow bulb, quite bored with it already hehe.

P/S - I almost bought a pair of OSRAM yellow halogen bulbs (Made in Germany) which cost RM 159. Yellow color but much brighter than ori bulb with far radius.

But my bro advised me against it so I changed my mind. He told me Proton's circuitry is very problematic.
*
As long as the wattage is the same then should be no problem, else u have to change the stock wire if using much higher wattage bulb, becos the ori wire is too thin.

Guys, some info want to share wif u all...

Yesterday just managed to fix the vibration noise from my door, yes, both the front doors. rclxm9.gif

The culprit are all the moving parts inside the door lock, between the joint of the metal bar, door knob metal bar with the metal part attached to the door panel (don know how to describe, sorry if i make you confuse).

So wat i did was cover all the moving part edge with the small piece of sponge or stick some foam double side tape at the edge, so now the contact between those joint is sponge contact with sponge or tape wif tape rather than metal wif metal. So even it vibrate, you won't hear it anymore.

The hardest thing is to wrap the contact point without dissemble the whole structure, and you only got a little space inside, you have to wind down and up the windows repeatedly in order to reach that place, is hard to tell in words, you have to observe and understand by ur ownhow that parts working before u can do something on that, but it works, the noise finally gone since the 1st day i got my car. rclxms.gif thumbup.gif Tell you, i repeatedly remove the plastic door trim not less than 10 times in half year since i got my car on September last year sweat.gif

hey,pic pls!!!!!but my window metal bracket vibrating when i boom my car,any solution dr sound proof, tongue.gif
*
Again, no pic available...1st reason, i dun have camera, tongue.gif 2nd reason, i dun wish to open that trim again forever unless it make noise again. laugh.gif

So go to observe by urself, wind down ur windows completely, look for the structure, then use ur hand to slightly shake the metal bar (door handle horizontal bar and door knob vertical bar), u will notice there are alot of free play, thats the culprit. Next step is to observe the point that will contact with those bar, rape wrap it accordingly.

Since ur speaker is the culprit, make the speaker diaphragm stationary all the time will be the solution... tongue.gif laugh.gif

i think we should discuss how to stop window bracket vibration by ourselves tongue.gif
as most of the time going to sc, the technicians are not willing to help.... unsure.gif
*
Try to think about it, do you think the technician there will fix it, test it, fix it and test it repeatedly? Try and error consume alot of time..

congratulation, I think I know the part u mention and its is very complicate and unexplainable ... but how do u manage to insert your hand through into small space... that was wow ...  rclxms.gif

btw my finding of rattle sound cause by,
-mechanical part of door lock
-the glass window rubber holder, its frame has metal frame has contact with metal door
-no insulation between front speaker with speaker holder, that may cause excessive vibration
-loosen screw surround front speaker, power window control panel
-the plastic door panel contact with metal door (where insuflex should be places)
*
Because my hand is small tongue.gif

Quite tough honestly, use almost 3 hours to fix it.

hi all saga blm owners !!!

i m a new saga blm owner... wanted to ask u guys abt the actual max. fuel tank capacity...

the car specifications stated that the fuel tank capacity is 40L

but y when i fully pumped my car it's only 30L ????
*
40L is max volume, means nothing left in the fuel tank, i don think u want it to happen rite?

It will reserve 10L+ fuel when the warning light is out.

I'm so sorry, let me introduce myself, I'm currently working at proton SC in petaling jaya and now i need some opinion for which gear oil type do BLM car owners prefer to use.

I'm planning to switch to the better gear oil because we had customers complaining about hard gear shifting sometimes after using the normal gear oil.

However, the price for the better ones is far more expensive than the normal ones.

So I wish to know whether the car owners here are willing to pay for that price for a better driving pleasure.

Thank you.
*
easy, just keep both of it, and ask customer when they want to change, let them choose themselves.

Personally i don't think the hard gear change got something to do with the oil itself but the design fault.

Hi, has anyone here done any soundproofing for their BLM? I hear the Saga noise level is a bit high compared to Myvi. Any recommendations about budget soundproofing? Not DIY type but with installation for the complete set with engine bay, door and roof treatment.

I'm due to pick up my new black M-line manual this Thursday. A quieter ride will be my first priority.

Also, can anybody recommend a place that will accept trade in for M-line stock player (non-mp3) to mp3 player? How much they will they charge extra? I am in Petaling Jaya. TQ.
*
Tyre affects the most...so far i compare M-line with my B-line, M-line is quieter because of the tyre used. So test it out 1st.

by right, yes.but from experience workshop technician, he told me 14" stock is the best too.50/r15 for me is optimum la.
*
Ya, if 50 R15 the circumference is almost = 70 R13 and 60 R14, so FC won't affected. But ride comfort of 50/R15 might affected due to shorter sidewall now.

As long as u can see the road and u never modified the light before, just let it be, why bother others? Is default setting, want to blame ask them blame Proton...i'm not selfish, but sometimes can't make too much tolerance on road.

hi all, one of my family member just got the BLM SE. the problem is water leaks into the boot/trunk. is this a common problem? whats the could be the cause/solution? tqvm
*
The culprit is the mat stick on the trunk lit. They stick it out of place and cause the rubber around the trunk contact with the mat rather than the lit metal. Try to observe it, the water is come in from top.

I suffered this before, i told the SC thats the culprit, but they said is rubber problem. Nvm, free new rubber, they want to change let them change, after change i fix the mat by myself. Water proof now.

Hi there..i just get my car just about 1 month ago..today just done my 1k service..and i got some question need some of ur help here...well i was surprise about the bill i got today..the engine oil for my car is Petronas Syntium 800..i wondering why its so expensive..it cost RM97 for 4L...im not sure about the grade of this oil..but its 15w50..really too thick..and this lube is semi syn or mineral oil?i heard my friend say if u use thick engine oil..ur engine will be very dirty inside..so im abit noob here...is it a good lube after all?i really dun have trust in Petronas product..sorry if i say something wrong..i not mean to flame or bashing something here..sorry im abit noob about this...
*
The price is standard if u service at Proton SC, so u are not conned. Ur oil is semi-syn...

Thick oil can give more protection, and it won't make engine 'dirty'...but in terns of car pickup, u will feel a little bit heavy compare to those 10w40 oil.

Petronas is main sponsor of Mercedes GP F1 team, do u still think this brand is so bad? What made u so bad impression on this brand? Out there alot of others 'unknown' brand oil actually very good in quality, so buy the oil that suit the engine but not the brand.
