my fren's 5800 cant update firmware...y?
when he tried using NSU it say sth not supported...
if use wireless it says no update available

his 5800 current firmware is v21...

anyone knw wads d prob?

is the phone an AP set??? certain AP set model code doesn't bypass Nokia hence update is not allowed...

if your frenz tube has exceed it's warranty period, he can try changing the model code to allow updates...
refer to the FS on how to do it...

p/s do it with your own risk, blame me not if the phone brick upon failure...

my 5800 firmware is v40.0.005 now, i upgraded it yesterday through online.. can i still install the hacked one?

btw, what's the special with the hacked one? some unsigned application can be installed without sign??

The hacked one you have to manually flash it. It gives you access to the whole C:\ drive of the phone, and lets you install unsigned and cr*cked apps.

is there a way to format the 5800 back to the original factory form, without those extra application and so on

the map is there, setting is same... just can't lock.

then i asked him to change to 0573786: APAC1 Black MALAYSIA but still face prob in updating firmware
then change to 0573784: APAC1 Black but still same prob...
duno wad is d main prob...
any one can help?

Just got back my phone from Sunway NCC. Lucky it's just the alignment problem. The water didn't enter the phone

i just updated my firmware to v40..did hard reset b4 updating...after updating my phone keeps having no signal...i'm on digi..am i screwed ? =.=



edit: works in GSM mode, once i put the phone to DUAL MODE, no signal... =(

me also digi...using v40 too.....dual mode and GSM both work fine...but DiGi is not fine....stupid..i complain my house here damn weak line for 3 weeks..now they phone me say this area got vandalism problem...parts gets stolen...and need about 3 weeks to fix....what stupid shit is this! ..


not only my house...my workplace, at KLCC..full line..but not very stable...awhile will become 0 signal...then full back....they having service downgrade!!
