I use lightroom. I think for HDR its better to use Photoshop or Photomatix. You can find many tutorials online for example Click here

i have a 55-200mm tamron marco lens.. then zoom to the max?
*
Probably, yeah. Zoom to 200mm and find the minimum focusing distance, that is, the closest you can get to your subject while still being able to focus on it. If I'm not mistaken these 55-200 zooms with macro designation typically have magnifications of 1:2 or 1:3 whereas a "true" macro lens will allow you to get to 1:1.

1:2 is still enough for larger bugs(like that dragonfly I posted) and lizards though, and if you want to get even closer you can buy a closeup adapter like the Raynox DCR250 for much cheaper than the cost of a true macro lens.

What is the function of 1:2, 1:3 because mine is 1:4. You can see it in picture below tongue.gif

That's a different thing than what I was referring to. The number printed on the side of your lens is the lens' f-number.

1:4-5.6 means that your lens' maximum aperture size is f/4 at 55mm and f/5.6 at 200mm.

The magnification ratio I was talking about earlier refers to how much your lens can enlarge a given subject. The bigger the ratio of the 1st number to the 2nd number the more magnification your lens can achieve. Btw your lens' magnification ratio is 1:3.5

great shot. but its better if the bottom left corner is not clipped off. there's no pixel value over there, all 1,1,1. but at least this photo can be made quite dramatic. here's a version of my quick touchup.
