sorry to be the 1st person to critique u..lol

ur flash is too harsh/direct. the weird thing about built-in flash is that we're not supposed to use it in dark situations, but rather, bright ones e.g. beach, etc

so what u can do is shoot at a brighter location, or juz use a table lamp or something. 2nd you can diffuse your flash, there are lots of DIY diffuser tips online

on the contrary, its late in the evening. 7pm to be exact. light was very dim, esp where i was, i was near the tree lines d.

i even boosted it to ISO 3200 for this shot taken nearby.

to me, grain in black and white photography is totally acceptable (depending on subject) as long as the image sharpness and quality is not compromised. in color photography, i feel that if the chromatic noise is too high (Sony's ISO1600 or higher), it will reduce image clarity, and the colors will turn out quite muddy. in that case, i'd normally convert it to b&w to see if the photo's still redeemable.
