@achew, yeah, i understand that theory... its just that i wish to know what do ppl judge when they say so, and if i agree with it, then why dont i see it in that point of view in the 1st place. i do not wish to intimidate or anything biggrin.gif
*
lol. he probably said that because of the circular shapes u got in the background. no need to think so much le ;p how about urself? why did u like the shot?

a little something i would like to share with beginners like me, that i've learned so far. it seems that cropping really does a big job in, for the final imaging. n im still experimenting this  sweat.gif  thanks
*
u're absolutely right about cropping smile.gif for my earlier photos i had to crop a lot to get a good composition. now less la, but sometimes i just frame extra wide juz in case i wanna use other parts of the photo during PP hehe. u'll learn to frame better next time and no need to crop smile.gif

i like the b&w effect. i think you should flip the picture so it doesnt look like a mirror image

plzz comment my pic.cnc are most welcome.i'm newbie.just 1 month got my 1st dslr wink.gif

sorry to be the 1st person to critique u..lol

ur flash is too harsh/direct. the weird thing about built-in flash is that we're not supposed to use it in dark situations, but rather, bright ones e.g. beach, etc

so what u can do is shoot at a brighter location, or juz use a table lamp or something. 2nd you can diffuse your flash, there are lots of DIY diffuser tips online

the bee really makes this pic unique compared to other flower-only pics tongue.gif maybe u can crop so that the bee falls on the left horizontal line of the rule of third thing, and the centre of the flower on the right line

Snap for fun, since lazy wanna do tutorials biggrin.gif

i think u need to change ur diffuser. a bit too opaque maybe? also if u wanna use diffuser, should increase exposure compensation a bit. dunno how much, need to experiment

QUOTE(asepa @ Mar 17 2010, 12:14 AM)
hurm.. i dont really much understand, but maybe i'll try another editing style. anyway i understand some point that zorex said. i've look at it and now i fell it's a little bit too bright. the contrast and colour. Maybe because i'm trying to bringing up the colour of the boat so it'll be the title of picture. and i've did put too much colour in it. well anyway, thanks for the advice. i'll try to improve. Thanks thanks thanks!
*
for what it's worth, ur 2nd try is much better IMO smile.gif maybe next time u can just increase the contrast on certain part, not the whole picture?

how's masking?
*
no need tripod. i believe he meant ur PP quite bad. can see the 'glow' behind the tree. nothing wrong with this technique, juz that if u want to do it at all, prepare to spend a lot of time carefully erase/mask the layer

i remember a thread before asking how forumers learn photography

quite a lot answered trying to reproduce shots based on someone else's EXIF data. so while it's not helpful to you and me, it is to others smile.gif
