If a counter's dividend EX-DATE and ENTITLEMENT DATE is different, we have to keep till the ENTITLEMENT or the EX-DATE to be entitled ar ?

i tot entitlement date is always 2-3days after ex-date....
keep until ex-date can liao...

p/s : if wrong dont chop me ok~~

example: BKawan.. u buy today and sell tomorrow (ex-Date).. u will get the 30cents or around 2.2% nett yield...

entitlement date is the date they send out cheque (dividend) right ?

That's payment date. I think if you search the forum, cherroy taikor has written on the entitlement date before.
For me, only remember ex-date and payment date.

My opinion.
I think SC or KLSE need to set-up some rule. Got propreitary position, then cannot put up reseach and recommendation on the particular stock, which is more fair.
But I don't think this gonna to happen.

IMHO,it should be okay provided reader's attention is drawn to the disclosure and that the disclosure should be in big red caps.

At least CIMP bank made the disclosure,many others don't!

Normally, share price will go up if got bonus issues, but after ex date, it may fall back. So far, OSK and KPJ both suffer the same fate...
