Added on February 8, 2010, 10:18 amThose are the custom cruisers made by Bourbon from GC. Since its a little heavier than the average wodent wheels, its really expensive to bring into malaysia lol. You can see how wide the tracks are there are much more benefits. They are also called 'custom' cruisers for a reason. You can customize it to how wide the tracks u want to be, 1/2 bounce or full bounce, with or without the hole covers and much more. The cruisers are a real hit in the states J&J would be the very first owners of the custom cruisers in malaysia.

The explorium is highly recommended when travelling iyaz since u have no choice but to travel at nite, then u will need to have the explorium pop'ed up while travelling so they have space to move around.

In my opinion.. i would not change the pouch to often. Well at least not daily i change mine every 5 days now.. sometimes a week baru tukar.. Because they are so accustomed to the scent that is on the pouch~ later if change too often, they will always need to get accustom to a new pouch smell. I experienced before that my suggies rather sleep outside in the bowl rather than the pouch cuz the pouch doesnt have his smell.

Perhaps u can get reference from him, if he did any neutering in the past. If not just come take a drive to KL and neuter your glider at Hands n Paws.

A balance diet for me would be HPW. But there is actually a few more which u can choose from. Fruits and veges should be accompanied with that balanced diet the mealworms are just treated as treats for your suggies if you feed on HPW. If you check the Cal : ph ratio table, you can see what kind of fruits and veges you can balance out when feeding. Just remember.. too much phos are not good XD Please remember depending solely on fruits and veges~ is a nono. Get at least 1 stable diet like HPW or BML or other diets.

Adopting mature SGs will require more time on bonding if the glider isnt tame. Is this gonna be your first glider? If it is, i hope you are a patient person else get a joey

My first wild glider took me 4 months to get her to trust me. She STILL bites me occasionally XD it depends on the glider too.. sometimes they can adapt fast.. some may take longer. Dont let it discourage you, keep bonding tho

Yup that is true.. a very uncleaned environment for an SG can cause to different kinds of bacteria. thats why you need to clean the cage with good anti bacterial solutions like germisep. Or dettol (lightly used). But as you know gliders they can groom themselves too they clean their fur and everything we just need to worry about the cage part. Food can be easily splattered all around lol. Later the ants also become interested in the leftovers~

A diet is a diet.. if you are given a diet.. would u just rather eat roti everyday? or would u rather have a good WHOLESOME meal, included with all the protein, vitamins to ensure that you are not gonna be damm thin.. or mal nutritioned. Ask yourself that. AS A GLIDER OWNER, clearly i want whats best for my gliders to ensure they grow up to in the most pink of health! I wouldnt say its a CHOICE, it is a MUST.. quite frankly!~ Having improper diet can cause a glider to get illneses like HLP (Hind leg paralysis), they could self multilate, bloat, indigestion.. they could even have other problems in the long run... i can drag this discussion very very long if i find my illness sheet.

TAKE NOTE that glider who have poor diet, appear to be more SCRAWNY, THIN, and WEAK if you compare with other gliders that have a GOOD AND STABLE diet. Gliders with a PROPER diet DO NOT smell as bad as gliders who does not have a proper diet. I suggest you go to Glidercentral and have a look around. THE VERY FIRST THING they take into consideration is DIET.. DIET DIET DIET.. because a glider with a proper diet and also proper lifestyle.. can live up to 14-15 years in captivity. Would u rather have a shorter lifespan glider? I think not.


It was already said, having a glider isnt cheap~ it also COMES with other RESPONSIBILITIES on top of it~ think about vet trips too.. if your glider gets sick..

Hi i wouldnt say that there is any affordable/cheap price for suggies. If from the start you are expecting to have everything cheap, then if i may say so this is not the pet for you. Price wise, most of them are of coz over RM250 at least.. Petshops even worst more than RM300 over. The latter one, of coz u dont know what kind of health issues they have. If its too cheap also, sometimes u dont know what is their condition.

@lori - lol lorry, im not really a notable expert, but i do have some common glider knowledge.. I would be more happy to share with anyone. I just love doing research that is all XD

@Sodox - I will say quite frankly.. NONE of the sellers in mudah boleh pakai one.. 1st, most of them sell underaged joeys. 2nd, they know NOTHING about a glider's diet & lifestyle. 3rd, to them housing gliders in a hamster cage is OK! 4th, usually they will say, you feed apple and dog food can already.. >_> 5th, they sell in pairs for cheap. BUT they sell male x female pairs to push sales fast. These pairs could very well be siblings, and for a new glider owner, i dont think they are ready for breeding. All these the sellers wont say to you one.

As for expenses, i can safely say i can spend almost close to RM200 per month for all the gliders that i have. That includes their diet, fresh fruits and veges and as well as treats. So maybe a pair could be around RM50 or more depending on what diet you give. Remember fresh fruits and veges is needed daily.. You might have to buy these every 3-5 days. You know lah they spoil easily XD

Go to LYN's Pet Store Section and search~ You can tell how good of a breeder they are from the past joeys they had for sale. Good luck yah.. hope you find a suitable one for yourself Remember, nothing good is cheap~ quality is the best policy

Haizzz another one bites the dust i dunno what to say.. sometimes it can be too frustrating to answer these kinds of questions. By the looks of it, you dint do any research on gliders. Suddenly pregnant dah.. and you not even ready. You dont ask if the male shud be seperated or not.. if you did your research, MALES and FEMALES work together as a TEAM to bring up the joeys. When mom goes out to eat, daddy takes over the job of taking care of the joeys. Please read the first page.. eric already pretty much put a lot of effort to lay out a LOT of info that covers every aspects of gliders~ take some initiative to do some actual research.

I would get rid of the cat food immediately. Irresponsible Shops of coz will tell u rubbish.. cuz they dont care of the joey, they just want to push sales. Please fix your glider's daily diet FIRST.. start by getting a proper diet. NOW that the mommy has joeys IP, she needs more protein. Bugsy is a very good brand that i have been using without any complications. But it always ends up to the owner, how much you want to feed them.

I hope you are joking about this... i find your ways quite disturbing.. After we told you to read the first page.. did you actually do it?
