Guys not sure its a problem with only this generic model of wira or what, but my wira 1.5A has very slow acceleration, run on highway keep being overtaked by cars, even kancils  rclxub.gif the RPM is rev'ed till 4 when reaching 100km/h (bro says cause the engine is not powerful enough - for comparision, my bro's iswara 1.3M get <3 upon reaching 100km/h and city get <2.5 upon reaching 100km/h)

Is this a general problem with my wira or all 1.5A wira in general? But my friend's wira 1.6 has no such problem even though its older than my car  rclxub.gif

Btw its a 7 years old wira

for mine year 99 model 1.5A , 3k rev is 90km/h and 4k rev is 120km/h

Yes, wira 1.5 AT underpowered. Mine also having the same RPM reading. Overtaking is a problem as it does not have pick up, but I try to minimize slowing down as much as possible, especially on highways. RPM reading, you can refer here http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=756075&hl=

usually de meter is not running because there is no grib btw de metal stick n de last number roller which jump once every 100m...take out de metal stick (b replace wit another same size metal stick to prevent de numbers to break into pieces)...n try to chisel a little dent on it (de place where contacts with de 100m number roller)...put it back n its done!

I have one 1.6 (A) for 1995 wira. Just curious to know got what kind of things that i can modify for those engine parts. Don't expect for overhaul methods. cry.gif

PS: I'm not a racing kaki, just prefer on use less fuel consumption only.

Is that change for sports rims will less the fuel consumption also? rclxub.gif

1. 4-2-1 exhaust extractor.
2. remove cat-con.
3. change to bigger muffler.
4. use platinum and above spark plugs.
5. use 10w-40 engine oil or 5w-40.
6. use STEEL RIM only.
7. change driving habit. (try not to keep doing acceleration, maintain constants speed above 60kmh.)

8. change to MANUAL GEARBOX if possible.**

this is my own opinion la.. see what other sifu may say.

1-4. is the exhaust system upgrade.

6. i would prefer 15" for stability, but of coz, will kill off some FC due to wider tyre.

i wonder... sometimes, do so many thing, just to save some few cents on the mileage.. but izzit in the long run, will it cover up the investment we did before and after that, then only the saving comes in.. just wonder ya... sweat.gif

For starter, just change the whole exhaust system from head to tail. I'm using 1.5 AT, of course 1.5 has poor fc but it sure improves after I did full exhaust system. You can go to any exhaust shop, or you can browse through LYN automotive garage. There are few specialist. My setup is 4-2-1 extractor, remove the mid box change with bullet, 1.6" piping size, and s-flow muffler. As long you maintain your driving style, you will see the mileage improvement. Top speed also improve brows.gif

Not sure, depends on your setup. Not more than RM 1k, or if you go for better extractor branded ones, might go slightly above that.

To me it's not noisy. S-flow muffler is quieter and maybe has a bit sporty sound. Straight flow the sound louder, and to some yes it is noisy.
