not necessarily need to change the throttle body. try service it 1st see better or not. and if really need to change, if the upeer part still ok, you just need to change the lower part (IC Chip).

recond around RM300
if just changed the lower part to a new one is around RM400

if your foreman say have to change the whole thing, either he didn't bother or there are some parts that already stuck, cannot be serviceable.

recond TB really depend on luck. it might last 1 year or it might last 1 month..

last time when my TB got problem, i was quoted that price, for the lower part.
this is 1.6, dunno 1.5 different or not.

Wanted to ask you, how to see whether the TB is original or recon? any specific brand? 

besides throttle body, other parts how to see whether it is original or not? I don't know at all, scare foreman cheat me..I'm willing to pay if it is original..but I don't like people cheat me.. 

i don't know how to see if it ori or fake. and in car servicing and parts, it's like normal already to be cheated. just accept it or improve your knowledge till you can do everything to avoid being cheated.

for the parts, it is better if you buy it yourself from spare part shop. buy from you trusted shop or ask from your friend which shop they trust.
buy, then give the mechanic to fix it.

today went go workshop to flush my gear box ATF..they use 10 litres to flush..use "Total" ATF 1 litres RM20 per bottle..total RM275 including filter and gasket..

4g93 is nice. 4g91 also nice and cheap.

4g93 is 1.8 got both single cam or twincam
4g91 is 1.5 twincam

change the gearbox? nope.. just do some setting to the auto gearbox to make it up-shift at higher rev, and drive 'manually' by shifting the auto stick, drive aggresively. then hope it will adapt to it lo... if not, have to made some minor modification lo.. thats what i've gone thru.. but see oly sifu got suggestion or not. mine is purely from my experience. and btw, the atf i using is toyota de atf.

yes,it cheaper n not very good during high speed rev cuz will have  gear slips~
i prefer use mitsubishi diaqueen sp III~ 

not about improvement but smoothness n gear change without gear slip cuz i drive 4G92 wit auto gearbox n tried wit both oil b4 tat's y i know mitsubishi perfom better even it's spIII n toyota is T4
da diff between tis two oil is ard rm25

i never try diaqueen III before, can't comment on that.
previously i only use semi-syn oil. feel the car rev lighter than using mineral ones..

My fren's Wira, every morning got screeching sound from engine bay, like something caused by friction.

Only happens when the car is idle.

Whats the problem ar?

as for ur fuel filter is better to take ori but a bit pricey too~

Probably for the engine oil, you can use lighter mineral oils like 10w-40
