Hi,

Just to share some of my experience. I am using Belkin surge protector and it got up to RM10,000 coverage. My PC, modem and wifi was connected to it and 1 day, lightning strike, MotherBoard, modem and wifi gone case... and it is claimable from Belkin service center. it is best that you keep your receipt for those electrical item. They will replace the belkin surge protector 1 to 1 exchange... so i will recommend Belkin smile.gif

those home content insurance sometimes cover lightning strikes too...go check..it starts from rm200++ for a year's coverage i think

if any equipments get hit, as long as you have proof of purchase for it, you could try to claim from the insurance provider for a new set or repair...

speaking of this - i havent taken mine...will do that soon...

yeah... claimable... according to your receipt. If your item less than 1 year, they pay 100%, if more than 1 year... then lesser... i just submit my case last week. still not sure how much i can get.

How long did it take for them to process your claim? They give you back the full cost of the motherboard, modem and wifi?
