and my son always ask me to pull out, he scared the lightning fried the PS3 then he cannot play liao 

A surge protector is much more important than AVR. The percentage of your equipment spoil by ligthning is higher than those few percentage higher voltage.

Using belkin is just double protection. If it fail to protect, you can claim it. But if you buy a cheap one, once strike, you can claim. Belkin have a cheaper version. Depend what equipment and amount claim.

But not all item you can claim from belkn. They will ask you to repair the item and paid the repair price for you. If it too expensive.

You much understand what AVR purpose. The inside component still won't protect the lightning. I ve 4 pcs AVR. Some using combine with surge protector. Depend the sensitive of my component. Surge protector first than AVR. If you using AVR for lightning, I rather trust surge protector.

The AVR is good during minight time when the high voltage fluctuation alot. Maybe too many aircon running in my housing area. Cause I can hear my AVR working hard during minight.
