why some "colorful dot dot" appear at my s41 all over screen, but hover my mouse over it will gone o_O

rarely happen..

Signs of your graphic card going crazy. better prepare to get it to SC.
Because mine same case as yours (act. alot of plp kena liao), it gets worse and sometimes the graphic just die on you without any signs.

yes, u probably should find time and send ur laptop to SC already
if really is gpu probelm, the service will be FOC regardless the warranty still valid or not

Because it's not consumer's fault on the faulty chip..it's nVidia's fault..Out of goodwill, benq help to replace the mobo for free...

that one, is the spec(material) announced by nvidia that is causing the defect, so basically is nvidia's fault, and i think they still provide free replacement for defective units

regarding my lcd crack, i just went survey the price to fix. At SC, they quote rm968(838 for lcd panel + 130 for labour fee). but they dont have stock. earliest can repair is after chinese new year. if after that i want to continue the warranty, they have to check my lappy condition first then only can continue. fyi this saturday my lappy will be 2 weeks old sad.gif

then i went to other repair shop. they want to charge me around rm 600 total and will take around 2-3 days to change the display. now im wondering which one should i choose? i need all of you opinion and suggestion. if i sent to normal shop the warranty will be void. i have 11 months more sad.gif

the shop give u LCD monitor or LED-backlit LCD monitor???

S42 is using LED backlit unlike S41...

LED. they say LCD cant be use because the use different connector. LED use ribbon. how ar?

get SC check ur lappy 1st and get definite answer for the warranty before you decide anything
if after SC service, the warranty will not be renew no point also.

SC can't check my lappy before they fix the LCD first. After they fix only they can decide to continue or not. If other device is broken, they will charge me to repair the device first. After tip top condition only can continue warranty

if repair with other company confirm warranty will not continue

errr...

IMO, repair at SC, and get a second year warranty while you're at it..and as for discount a bit...
if u repair at shop, dunno what LCD they will give u..later they simply throw in a cheapo one, then u wont get the same crisp and image quality as u can get now...

u will have ur mind at peace since SC will have it fixed..
