Babolat pro hurricane ..... I didn't like the string personally, I tried the Tour version too it was slightly better, but not by much. If you have the chance to try Babolat strings try Babolat Xcel power 16 or 17 with a Signum hyperion. If hybriding I prefer Signum's Hyperion if full bed, I can go either way with Tornado or Hyperion.

Spinwise I think Blackcode will have a slight edge, but for sure it will be more softer than Pro Hurricane and Tour version, but feel free to try :-p

Yep tried Hepta I think 2-3 months ago, it wasn't bad, playability wise, but it tension stability was not so good :-( for me anyways, it maybe different for you.

:-O
Never heard of Babolat's RPM Black? Is that supposed to be 'market wise' Nadal's new string? I thought he was supposed to be using Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour in black , albeit alot of people have said its Duralast dyed black x-p

sure dude... later i'm gonna string it up ... still thinkin on the strings combi ...  wat u think if i hybrid with pro supex & synthetic ... 48lbs sound reasonable ? 48/50 ? 48/52 ? or both 48lbs ?

coz i seems to like my 48lbs pro supex full bed on my psgt 98sqhd...
*
I wouldn't hybrid Pro Supex blue gear platinum edition , I 'd string full stringbed on what tension you think you would like.Hybrid I'd only recommend with luxilon strings.

Well in Pro Supex's defense , I tried that string in late 06 or early 07,at that time, I preferred to much more than Luxilon, naturally today's string have made some advancement. If you have the chance try Big Ace, that string was also a gem. But knowing what a string junkie you are hehee, I'd stick to current generation of strings to stay current.

Also with the current string generation, I think you could string slightly higher being most poly's released these days are being tagged 'soft co-poly', however its your choice. If I string with Lux which extremely rare these days then I string in the low 40's, but with Signum depending on what type of ball I am using I string in the high 40's to low 50's.

Use what works for you!

since i not still noobies about tennis, wanna get some advise here, i use Wilson racquet (no problem at all when playing) before then i just buy Babolat Aero Pro Drive Cortex last month, the shop said it Genuine Babolat Product (have stiker on it) but not the same that Nadal use, it cheaper version and it cost me RM200 and i put crossfire pacific (58-60) on it, i always vibrate like crazy when i hit the ball, so is it because the cheap version racquet or the string or the wrong tension or the rubber damper too small?

btw where i can get new GT and how much it cost?
*
Ouch bro.....I am abit curious, did you ask the shop, could they explain how Nadal is using a cheaper version of his racket when he is a top professional......

I can understand if they said Nadal is using 'officially' the Babolat Aero Pro drive cortex, but that is a paintjob of his Aero drive.

If you could post pics of the racket it would be appreciated.

according to the blog, my racquet clearly fake, nevermind, it just RM200 for fake babolat and crossfire string, when i buy it i already it maybe fake one, since i already become a novice and enter couple novice tournament i think i need the ori one, looking for GT next month when get salary, for those who sell GT Nadal please PM me or give link, eBay one really expensive when add shipping
*
Bro DO NOT BUY rackets from ebay ,period!!!!
If you wanna buy a Babolat racket buy from registered dealers/retailers, that offer you a warranty. Make sure it has the ROYAL SPORTING HOUSE sticker/hologram of some kind. When it doubt bring a friend who has some experience buying rackets.Very sad to hear you burn RM200, you could of used that money to save, save another RM400, you can buy original Aero Prodrive GT.

cool... wanna grab it 2molo ? hehe.... i might go to either topper / sportprises 2molo ... wanna get my blx 6.1 95 restrung ... din like it at all .. played 1/2 session and my elbow is like v painful... i think coz of the inexperienced stringer .. was a young gurl.. she didn't really know how to operate the new wilson machine also ... so might want my trusty stringer Peter to do it instead ...
*
rclxub.gif Shocking news, if Pro Supex Blue gear at 48 lbs is hurts your elbow, its either your stroke technique or the racket. But to double check pls string pro supex at a reputable stringer for peace of mind. Even though its a Wilson Baiardo, if the stringer is inexperience you will get a $hitass job, ie a man gives his son a Ferrari who just turn 16 and just completes his driving school, no way in hell the kid will be able to make full use of the Ferrari' speed same thing here.

Pls report back, if not yan put that BLX for sale ;-p
Sure sold out within mins!!!
People better pre-book first!

hi...
Just curious the tournament you guys entered, the turn out must be pretty good, if there is a 4th round at least 128 players...thats my guess, normally some tournaments reach 2nd round the round after that is quarters already, Congrats to all for a good performance, keep up the good work!

mmm...  i think to seriously comment abt it right now wudn't be that accurate...Firstly coz i feel the stringer did a poor job and very suspicious that she even key in the right tension. Secondly i bought a wrong overgrip which caused my palm to blister yet again (damn wilson grips)...
maybe wait for my 2nd string job then i can wrtie something here...

p/s:  so far the only thing that kinda cool abt this racq is the blocking shot. i just have to reach the ball and not even use any energy .. the ball will go back over the net... be in FH or BH.. that's how stiff it is ... just gotta touch it ..

cry.gif

LOL , no worries, will wait for you to re-string your racket at your convenience and re-wrap your grip as well heheh

Not a huge fan of grip replacement as I like the feelings of the bevels :-(
I buy the size I'd like, go a size smaller and add a overgrip. If I use a replacement grip its too thick and rounded off.
Heat Shrink sleeve dunno if available in KL, but confirm tennis-warehouse have lah.
