wana ask .... is it ok to leave the mains w/o cutting it ? i broke the cross.. so cut away the cross already .. now just left the mains ... won't damage the racq right ?

mm... the main is at 52lbs (2weeks ago)...but to be safe .. i guess i'll just cut off the main string as well... or mayb i'll just call peter n ask ..haha

Added on February 23, 2010, 7:55 pm fr Peter (sportprises) ... : he was saying if the main is not at a very high tension .. and the cross of a hybrid snaps.. DON"T cut off the remainding cross .. just leave it there to maintain a bit of tension as if u remove the cross entirely ... the main will be pulling the racq frame by itself and will damage the frame ... but the best is to string it right after .. .. David fr topper said the same thing...

Anyways i guess better safe than sorry .. i just cut off erything ..haha... not worth saving a few $

just easy on the arms and solid feel when hit it ... u can plough through the ball n still maintain good control

as for your stroke... i think u brush upwards too much no forward movement ... prev i was like tat ... the coach in penang & i think battousai also noticed that... but bola all masuk lah since lots of spin .. but no penetration ...n not strong the kick... more of a floater.... but since changing to the pure storm.. i'm hitting through the ball more .. so now it's lower n a bit harder... the pdrgt is a bit too powerful.. so must adjust more...but pure storm is a bit easier to control... lesser power ...

haha funny u shud ask me... pinky also asked me just now on phone...and coincidentally .. this morning i played with the pure drive a whole session since my PSGT's string broke yesterday ...

ok this is wat i told pinky... after using the pure storm gt .. i feel like i can take bigger and fuller shots at the ball and still maintain control. It's exceptionally good even if you are thinkin of directing and targeting spots on the court to hit... however nowadays i'm hitting more through the ball rather than just mad spinning like i prev did... like this morning's session ... the pure drive is just too powerful.. i wasn't able to control the shots... going long most of the time unless i take extra effort to brush it up more... .. it's like using the pure drive i can't hit with my usual stroke... must put in more spin else ball cannot go in ...and the shots are also clearing the net higher and harder to direct.. but in all honesty .. i gotta say the strings on that pure drive is rather old... 3mths or so ..haha... so prob that's a factor to consider as well...

i changed to the n6.1 95... i got back the control and able to hit more solid n low shots ...

Anyways my take... if u have already got power and wanna get a solid feel and more winners ... i wud say go for the pure storm.... it's a more refined racq.... if u dun ahv much power n just wanna kick the shit out of the ball... u can swing crazily with the pure drive.. will generate tonnes of power and high kicks...

i just strung with pro supex blue gear fullbed @ 48lbs .. the lowest ever for me.... had a hit with it just now .. felt a bit too powerful.. but mayb still not used to it or mayb 2day too much tennis already ..haha...

will try it out again 2molo morning 8am with viper !!.. damn gilar already these few days... tennis morning tennis evening ....
