QUOTE(garytey @ Mar 4 2010, 11:30 AM) hi anybody know i can still get Asus UL30vt in Malaysia? Some shop in JB told me this model is obseleted without replacement model Well, there's recently an update pricelist on a store nearby my location and comes up with Ul30Vt, though I've only seen UL80Vt on display there. You might want to give them a call.pricelist QUOTE(vicipeng @ Mar 4 2010, 12:33 PM) thanks for reply...beside acer wat other brand+model u recommend for gaming laptop? price range is 4-4.5k....is it dell xps core i5 enuff for gaming? i5 is more than enough mostly. With that budget, best performance notebook you can get is the Dell Studio XPS 16.QUOTE(Ox41464b @ Mar 4 2010, 04:54 PM) CODE 1. Brand: Image-Branded, and no issue for HOT 2. Budget: <3K 3. Specs: Gbps networking, Graphics Card, (COM Port *optional, but preferred*) 4. Size: 14"/15" Hi, Im looking for recommendation for Hardwork/abuse-proof Laptop. Laptop with Gbps and COM Port its preferred for networking guys like me. and can be "Abuse" also preferred, since im usually mobile. Image Branded its also required (and NOT Okay if acer) Since... if anyone see "Acer", they will look down to our company images (i beleive you can understand what i mean) Anyway... Im also awaiting Quotation on my PM, Please do send if you have offer. Further advice, recommendation, aware will be really appreciated Thanks! but those are more than 3K... You might want to consider HP Probook series. And serial port is kinda hard to find nowadays in notebook, mostly on docking stations...iinm QUOTE(lycan87 @ Mar 4 2010, 08:12 PM) Dear all, a notebook shop in digital mall said that he have brand new stocks for Asus A42JR with i5 ... Will check tomolo if it's true. Btw , he said the price is RM2799 .... Additional 100 compared to A42JR with i3 Hope for the good news QUOTE(samsoong @ Mar 4 2010, 10:14 PM) Strictly vaio or fujitsu? Seems like they don't offer much in 15''QUOTE(bgkeh @ Mar 4 2010, 10:36 PM) hello guys, i know this is laptop recommendation, but i dont want to make a new thread regarding my question. Well, 2gb should be enough for daily works, though 4gb seems to be the norm for nowadays.if i buy a new laptop with 2gb ddr3 ram, should 1 or shouldnt i upgrade it to 4 gb? thx in advance ^^ It really depends on your usage. |

Maybe because of the past experience on the Inspiron and XPS model which has Nvidia 8400M/8600M...
If 14'' can consider Vaio CW26@RM3999 13'' can consider Vaio S or if you can find Vaio SR, HP DM3 if doesn't need dvd drive. |

Well, Vaio CW26 does offer one of the best spec for 14'' in malaysia, as for looks, it depends...
13'' wise, not much if you want to look for performance in it,since most recent 13'' notebooks is CULV based that offer battery life rather than performance. Though Vaio SR does offer some performance for its size. But it being replaced by Vaio S series which offer less performance. You can consider Asus U80V, RM2799, quite light for a 14'' and quite stylish if you ask me, that if you don't feel inferior with its old generation technology... |

The same spec as vaio cw 26 had, most of the branded lappies (Toshiba, fujitsu and etc) are much more expensive than vaio cw..

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Mar 5 2010, 01:51 AM) Toshiba wise, pretty low spec though... I would recommend the other laptops, but not the HP DV6.Dell Studio XPS 16, HP DV6, Asus G51Jx, Alienware M15X, Acer 5942G Since HP pavilion series all using almost the same structure, so just avoid it or choose other series one. I have very bad experience using the HP DV4 series + heard one of my senior who using HP DV3 also got a very bad experience. |
