If you want a bit better performance in gaming, then take the Asus K40AB/K50AB, its also comes with 2 years warranty by default.
IF strictly HP... HP DV4-2120TX@RM4099
Though if want lightweight, Asus U80V@RM2799
Acer 4740G@RM2499, Dell Inspiron 14/15, Toshiba L510-S4316, Compaq CQ41-214TX (overbudget)

Stated before? Vaio CW26@RM3999, one of top spec 14'' notebook, at least in malaysia.
Well, how light is lightweight you mentioned?
For 14'', that would be Asus U80V, 2.1kg, still capable of L4D almost high settings.
15'', would be Dell Studio 15

When you watch the movie full screen, there's sometime black bar on top and the bottom of the screen.

and what measurement do you mean? the physical size of the notebook or the ratio? 16:10, 16:9 or 14.0'', 14.1''?

Not really, some are selling cheaper, some are not, depends on shops.

And please refrain yourself from using capital letters, its mean shouting if you do so.

1. Brand: Anybrand (Last choice will be acer & hp).
2. Budget: Less than Rm5k
3. Specs: Not necessary the top one, but must have good GPU (at least nvidia 230m or compatible) and standard CPU
4. Size: 15.6 inch, 16 inch, 17.1 inch or 17.3 inch.
5. Additional: Would prefer if suggested laptops have built-in tv tuner, stylish design, able to handle heavy design tasks, eSata, dedicated keypad, high screen resolution (eg 1400 x 900 and above) and high battery life.
6. Reasons to buy: My current laptop generates unusual heat which i not very happy, even some techinial tests and skills applied in it (eg air vent cleaning, cooling etc). And i want a laptop that last 4 to 5 years, at least until I graduete or start working.
7. Seller location: Prefer to be in Kuching.

Thanks. smile.gif

18.4 screen size is too big for me. I carry my laptop everywhere, so Toshiba Qosmio X505 is not my option. After looking through Toshiba Qosmio F60, i think this is a good laptop. Btw, purchasing online is my 2nd choice.

Any other laptops suggest?

Anyways, thanks for helping. smile.gif

Well, 15.6'' and above and still under 4k with at least GT230M, is quite limited...
The only option would be Dell XPS 16, Toshiba Qosmio F60, Lenovo Y550 and Acer 5935G.

If you don't mind 14'', there's Sony Vaio CW26@RM3999, i5 520M + GT 330M + 1600x900

Would strongly recommend Asus A42JR/A52JR since it comes with 2 years international warranty by default, though abit over budget, RM2699...
